I rushed over to the panicked woman and her daughters almost struggling to carry this injured boy. The boy was unconscious with dried blood on all over parts of his body. I grabbed hold to one of his arms and helped to lug him over the medical beds.

"y/n, take him to the ubuyashiki estate as fast as we can, he's on the brink of death"

amane said in a rushed voice as she continued to carry the boy with whatever energy she had left. I can only imagine how exhausted she must be from carrying him all this way. Oh that's right, she said that he had lived all the way up on the top of the mountain so that means she'd carried him all the way down the mountain with only her hands and her small daughters to help her out. That's truly generous of her to do such a thing for some random kids. She was really a kind person. I tried my best to transfer this boy as far as i could to help. Now that i got a closer look at him he only looked a year older than me. Around 11 at the time i assumed.

We continued to haul him back to the ubuyashiki estate so we could tend to his wounds. Through the long paths of the butterfly garden and through the gates of there house. Eventually, we made it and laid him down carefully on one of the beds. Amanes daughters immediately went to tell master ubuyashiki, while amane herself started to tend to his wounds by first cleaning the blood off of him.

can i help?

i spoke in a low voice as i walked towards her. i didn't know why at the time i felt drawn to help this boy, but looking back at the experience, i felt sympathetic towards him. I saw him in myself. his just lost his family just like i did. That's made us in the same place.

Amane looked at me as if she were glad i offered

"yes, take a wet towel and start cleaning his wounds. make sure to be gentle"

she said as she started to wipe blood off of his body with a wet cloth.  I rushed over to the bucket of water and dipped the cloth into the room-temperatured water and took it out and then squeezed it. i moved over to his face and wiped the blood off of it carefully. As i cleaned his wounds and face, i examined his face. I have to admit, he didn't look bad if i do say so myself. I quickly shook the thought. Why was i thinking something like that in such a time? I continued to clean his wounds. After i cleaned his wounds, amane came and patched them up with cloth.

The boy was still unconscious and remained like that for a couple of hours after we cleaned his wounds. Amane explained to me that the boys name was muichiro, and she had been visiting him and his twin brother for some time ever since their parents died. She said that when she came today to visit, his brother was lying dead while muichiro suffered severe injuries. The place was a bloody mess. His brother must've died because of blood loss, for his lost his left arm she said. I was surprised that she happened to get there at the exact right time to save him. i was glad she had been able to save someone.

i had asked to help treat him when he woke up. I didn't know why i felt the need to take care of this boy, but for some reason my heart felt like it was tugging to do so. maybe because him and i both went through similar experiences and i knew how it felt to be in his place. i wanted to be able to help him through this time instead of him sulking around for weeks like i did. i wouldn't want anyone else to experience what i did.

Time Skip....he woke up...

I was eating some rice balls for lunch when amane came to me and told me that muichiro had woken up. Her and i rushed into the room where he was to give him his pain treatment that we got from shinobu.
