It was the start of late morning when soft snores left your lips as you slept peacefully in your cabin. Today was a perfect day in your book! No chores, no activity planned for your 'cabin' today, and no specific time to be awake where anyone could bother you for something.

Your body lay stiffly unconscious on your bed while some muscles would twitch slightly in your peaceful slumber. The quietness was soon disturbed by the door of your cabin being slammed open, creating a loud thud sound that echoed loudly throughout your room.

The sudden sound alarmed you as your eyes shot open abruptly. You sat up quickly, your head looking around you with a groggy and confused expression to see what had caused the noise to disturb your sleep.

You used one hand to rub your eye while letting out a groggy groan. You could make out a silhouette of a girl running at you full speed before jumping onto your bed, which startled you as you felt the bed bounce.

A hand tightly gripped your shoulder while you were face to face with a familiar blonde who shook you back and forth forcefully with a giant smile plastered on her face."(Y/n)! (Y/n)!! Guess what!!!" Annabeth breathlessly said while looking at you, her eyes shining.

You opened your mouth before closing it, wondering what news Annabeth had that could make her this excited. You looked at Annabeth and noticed she had been wearing non-camp clothes and had a big backpack.

The moment you opened your mouth, you were cut off by your friend, who almost sounded like she was squealing when speaking to you. "Percy got a quest!!! And I volunteered us to go!!!" Annabeth announced excitedly, her smile being from ear to ear.

You tried wrapping your head around what she had said, a quest?..... Oh! Yeah, that's what you two (mostly Annabeth) have been waiting for, especially with Percy's arrival, which has put her more on edge. You gave Annabeth a lazy nod when she started rambling about the quest details, which you weren't paying attention to.

"Oh! I almost forgot my baseball cap!" Annabeth exclaimed worriedly, her head turning around while patting her pockets. "Pack and change quickly!!! I'll be right back!!" She said while tossing an empty backpack at you, from who knows where she got it from.

It smacked you while you let out a short hum as you watched the blonde scurry out of your room in a rush. You held the backpack while tossing your legs over your bed with a loud yawn as you started your 'getting ready' process. After changing into a casual outfit you thought was suitable and stuffed your bag which was mostly snacks and the rest some clothing and your toothbrush before closing it.

Your eyes wandered to your staff before quickly snatching it and placing it where you'd typically put a cup in your backpack. You threw over the bag onto your back before humming while Annabeth came just in time with her baseball cap in hand.
