The scene picks up in the beginning of the second match with Arcturus against Todoroki.
Present Mic: And we're back with the start of the second round! I can feel the anticipation in the stadium! And that's because this first match of the second round is gonna be epic! It's the guy who won his last fight by a landslide and literally left half the audience frozen. The hero course's, Shoto Todoroki! And this kid ended his match in a matter of seconds and is now ready to give an electrified performance! Also from the hero course, Arcturus Farron!
The boys enter the ring and stare each other down.
Todoroki: So here we are.
Arcturus: And only one of us can win.
Katsuki: ...
Iida: Tokoyami. How do you think this match will go?
Tokoyami: It depends on whether or not Farron will be able to get close in time.
Ochaco: But Arc's super fast, right? He can get in easily.
Izuku: Not if Todoroki counters him. You see, Arc's fast, but there is one big weakness he has: whenever he's in a cold environment, his speed decreases.
Wanda: Which means he'll have to avoid Todoroki's ice.
Present Mic: Both of the heroes in training have been front runners in the Sports Festival! But which one of these rivals will advance to the next round? Prepare for... Farron vs Todoroki! Begin!
Right on cue, Todoroki didn't waste time to shoot an ice attack as Arc dodged while kicking it. It breaks the ice and sent a shockwave the forced Todoroki to put up ice behind himself to prevent himself from being sent off. As Arc lowers down, Todoroki noticed he was slightly shivering.
Todoroki's Thoughts: Just as I expected. Farron's speed is affected against the cold.
Present Mic: Wow! Farron managed to break Todoroki's insane opening move!
Cynthia's Thoughts: He had no way of knowing how strong Todoroki's attack was going to be, so he abandoned restraint and went off at it at nearly 100%. It's true ice is his weakness. However...
Todoroki fires another attack, and Arc runs in while hitting it with a punch, breaking it.
Arcturus's Thoughts: I don't know much about Todoroki's fighting style. He uses his attacks fast enough it's almost impossible to get some info on him. From what I do know, he'll likely keep on defense while making sure I don't get close enough to catch him.
Another ice attack shoots, another kick intercepted it.
Kirishima: Damn. It's crazy how four of our classmates have moves that blast the whole stadium! Must be pretty nice.
Sero: Plus, you don't have to pause between attacks. Right, Bakugo?
Katsuki: It's not as easy as you think, ya morons.
Kirishima: Hm?
Katsuki: If you overuse your muscles, you risk tearing them apart. If you sprint too much, you run out of breath.
Wanda: Yeah. Each of us have a limit to how much power we can produce. That's why a lot of heroes have special support items to help deal with those drawbacks. Quirks are physical abilities, too. They can get worn out. You can't use them non stop.
Kirishima: It makes sense when you put it that way. I wonder if that's how Arc thinks he's gonna beat Todoroki.
Todoroki: (to Arc) You want an endurance match. But I'll end this quickly.
