Thawing Hearts (Weiss Schnee x Female Reader)

Chapter 1

Everytime she looked at me, I felt my heart skip a beat. Something about those icy blue eyes...I felt like I would do anything for her to look at me.

Everytime she looked at me, it was quick, she would immediately turn her attention back to our professor.

Should I approach her after class? How does one even go about that? Should I ask Yang to introduce us?

"If you have any questions, please see me after class!" Professor Port said, smiling while he began erasing the chalkboard.

I got up, ready to approach her. I saw her grab her bag and quickly walk up the aisle, towards the door. I ditched my teammate and made my way to the door, hoping to catch up to her. Once I entered the hallway, I got a glimpse of her skirt and watched as it disappeared into the crowd of people. Is it weird to ask Yang to set me up? I mean, we're friends, but are we really that close?

"Hey!" Fox called out, "Where are you going?"

"Sorry, I was trying to catch up to that girl I was telling you about." I sighed.

"A girl looks at you once and I get ditched!" He dramatically replied, throwing his arms up.

"It was more than once!"

Fox shook his head at me, "C'mon, let's get lunch! Port's class always tires me out, I need some energy."

"There she is!" I whisper-shouted to Fox. I waved and smiled at her. She looked at me, her eyes slowly looking me up and down before she turned back to her team.

"Yikes, not even a wave back." Coco said, slinging her arms over both Fox and I's shoulders.

"Shut uppp!" I groaned.

"Can't say I'm surprised though. I had no idea your crush from class was Weiss Schnee."

I could feel my mouth fly open before I could even register the shock I felt. Weiss Schnee. How did I not make that connection?! I'm such an idiot. Weiss Schnee of the Schnee Dust Company. How did I not know?! No wonder she didn't talk to me, she's practically the richest person in all of Remnant, "Weiss Schnee..." I repeated the name, somehow thinking that would help lessen the shock I was feeling.

"Want me to introduce you?" Before I had the chance to even say no, I could feel Coco's hands swiftly move from my shoulder to my hands, grabbing my hands and forcing me to come with her, leaving Fox standing there by himself, "Team RWBY!" Coco waved, greeting each of the four girls at the table. The icy blue eyes that made Port's class worth attending were suddenly fixated on the lunch table instead of the people around it.

"H-Hey!" I awkwardly waved.

"(Y/n), what's up?" Yang happily asked.

Before I could answer, a bright red caped girl stuck her hand out in front of me, "I'm Ruby, Ruby Rose!" She grinned.

I shook her hand and smiled, "I'm (Y/n) (L/n)."

The last girl sitting at the lunch table looked up from her book, putting a bookmark in it, "Blake Belladonna." She introduced.

Yang elbowed Weiss, "Ice Queen, don't be rude."

Weiss glared at Yang before beginning to speak, "I am Weiss Schnee of the Schnee Dust Company."

"It's nice to meet you all." I said as Coco pulled me to sit down at the table.

"Yang, I've been meaning to talk to you about the dance." Coco said, starting up a conversation, "I have no idea how to ask someone to a dance."

Weiss glanced at me occasionally throughout the conversation. Anytime I would catch her glances, she would almost completely turn her back to me. She seemed to be avoiding talking to me.

"That was rough!" Coco said, "Maybe the nickname Ice Queen actually makes sense. Did you do something to her?"

"No, of course not. I'm just as lost as you are. Maybe it was stupid to think Weiss Schnee would like me back. It was just a class crush anyways." I barely know her, so it's fine. I don't know what I really expected. I didn't even know her name until today! Maybe those looks we shared were all in my head.

"It's okay, we've all been there." Coco reassured, patting me on the back, "I gotta go to class, but if you need anything, my scroll will be on."

"Thank you, Coco." Coco's hand fell to her side as she walked off to class.

I think it's best I head back to my dorm, I don't need to embarrass myself more today and I think I need a good cry after this. I really hope Fox and Velvet aren't in there, I really need some alone time.

Team RWBY's dorm is right down the hall from mine. Maybe Yang would know why Weiss was acting so off.
