Meeting the future In-laws (Joke chpt)

Gojirin: Mom, Dad, I am home with my boyfriend! *Holding Reed under her arm like a cardboard cutout*
Reed: 😐

Walking around the corner, Gojirin's mom - Megami - came to see. Gojirin set down the mutant salamander beside her, he became shocked, then nervous once he saw Megami again after so long.

Megami: *Judging him* So, this is Reed. He's a bit thinner than I thought, as well as a bit shorter.
Gojirin: He's a few inches shorter than me, big deal.
Megami: *Leans up in his face, making Reed duck his head into his shoulders* He also seems familiar.
Reed: Hehe... Hi, Mrs. Megami.
Megami: And he knows my name. Only my friends call me Megami, you call me Monsutākuīn.
Reed: ... Can I just call you Mrs. Kuīn?
Megami: Mmmmrrrrm...
Gojirin: Mom.

Megami leaned down to Gojirin's ear before whispering.

Megami: Are you sure this is the one?
Gojirin: *Whispering* Mom! Of course, he is, I thought we discussed this.
Megami: I don't know... is he even the same species as us?
Reed: *In the background* Ummm..?
Gojirin: Mom...

Before they could continue, the whirring of gears and metal footsteps were heard coming over, and Kiryu now came around the corner.

Kiryu: Where is he? Where's the scrub that's come to take my only daughter's hand, and believes he's worthy to become the next King of the Monsters?
Gojirin: Oh boy. *Turns to Kiryu and walks beside Reed* Dad, this is Reed. I believe you remember me talking about him.
Kiryu: Hmmm. This is the male that got you to be more social since Jr's birth?
Reed: You have a daughter?
Gojirin: Ummm... yeah, but it wasn't with another guy.
Kiryu: Yeah, my daughter rejected and scared off every other guy we tried to hook her up with. So what about you made you the exception?
Reed: Well... your daughter says I'm sweet, a good listener, and I'm strong-
Megami: Ha! I doubt it, you've got barely any muscle mass on you. You look just short of malnourished.
Kiryu: Now, Megami, I was kinda the same way when we were this age.
Megami: Yes, but you had things to make up for it, like your charisma, fighting talent, and more importantly~-
Kiryu: Ho-kay! That's enough. I'm not in my old body, you know. *Turns to Reed* Anyway, nice to meet you. I trust you'll be a good mate for my daughter.
Reed: I-I'll be sure to not let you down, sir.
Kiryu/Dagon: Please, call me Dagon. Now, who's hungry?!

   Dagon sat across from Reed, both at the head of the table. In his mechanical body, he lacked intestines, but still needed the energy to keep himself conscious, so was feeding on electricity in a microwave, Gojirin and Megami both were draining the radiation from reactors, only the latter was more focused on judging Reed. He had a nuclear reactor to feed on, which he occasionally did, what he was more keen on was the giant Kamacuras he killed. Currently, he was ripping into one of its front legs, not noticing the stare until he'd chewed a chunk out of its armor and meat. Once he had, he became nervous, Gojirin soon saw his growing distress.

Gojirin: *Sternly* Mom.
Megami: *Sits up* I'm starting to think he's not even a true kaiju, and that he's not the right guy to be part of this family.
Gojirin: *Sits up* That doesn't matter, what does is that I even have a future mate.

Reed was moved, blushing and smiling at how Gojirin defended him before there was a slam on the table by Megami, making his turtle up.

Megami: Do you even know if you're biologically similar?! Can he even get you pregnant, or have functioning testicles?
Gojirin: Oh, I don't care! I have a daughter, and that's enough-

Reed soon weaved around beside Dagon, who was unamused.

Reed: Are they usually like this?
Dagon: Shockingly, they're less heated. I haven't seen them like this since they had to decide what to do with me.
Reed: What was it?
Dagon: Whether to let me live on through this body, or bury my bones.

Reed was confused, until Dagon popped off his metal face, revealing a brown decaying skull entrapped with circuitry and fake mechanical eyes to look through. Reed was stunned, but not all that frightened.

Dagon: Huh, usually that gets more of a reaction from people.
Reed: I've seen worse than a ghost in a machine.
Dagon: Oh really? Like what?
Reed: ... I'd rather not talk about my "pollen".
Dagon: Alright, I can respect your privacy.

Reed looked at Gojirin and Megami, and their heated discussion over him, but his mind was on his pollen.

It wasn't an incredibly frightening thing when he saw it initially. Granted, he had the intellect of an amphibian, and not what he had now.

But looking back at it, he wasn't even sure if he could blame himself, or the humans for trying to get to understand him, or even just making him.

But he shared one thing with Gojirin; secret children made by one sex. While her's was the self-fertilization of an egg, he was clumps of flesh or dead skin left alone too long, creating creatures made up of misplaced guts, and rotting meat eyes and teeth even more brainless than he was. Fortunately, it appeared his pollen was gone. At least he hoped.
