Taehyung stood at the doorstep, a commanding presence that seemed to bend the very air around him.

Handsome and attractively enigmatic, his gaze held a chill that could freeze the bravest soul. Towering over 6'2", he exuded authority, his black suit impeccably tailored, accentuating his powerful frame. A crisp white shirt added contrast, while his dark eyes seemed to pierce through anyone who dared to meet his gaze.

Ji-Ah felt a flutter in her heart at Taehyung's striking appearance. She hadn't expected the lawyer to be this captivating, his presence filling the room with an electrifying intensity.

Jin-Ho's eyes gleamed with satisfaction, as if he had won a hard-fought victory. To him, Taehyung appeared as a formidable adversary, a man of cunning and determination, perfectly suited to their schemes.

With a subtle nod, Jin-Ho gestured for Taehyung to take a seat on the couch, knowing that the real game was about to begin.

As each member of the Cha family introduced themselves, Ji-Ah couldn't resist the urge to flirt with Taehyung. However, her attempts were met with a cold indifference that left her humiliated and silenced. Taehyung's piercing gaze and sharp retort shut down her advances, leaving her red-faced in front of everyone.

A young woman approached, her steps hesitant and her gaze fixed on the floor. She balanced a tray of coffees, her hands trembling beneath its weight. Her slender frame betrayed a fragility that belied her age, likely in her early twenties and standing at a modest 5'5". Taehyung observed her intently, calculating every detail.

As Jin-ho, Min-Soo, and their wives, Hye-Rin and Soo-Min, erupted into laughter, the girl flinched noticeably, a stark contrast to the jovial atmosphere. It was a moment that spoke volumes, revealing the underlying tension and unease in the room.

Jin-Ho's voice pierced the air, causing the girl to flinch as he commanded, "Come on, greet our guest."

Y/n's heart sank at the prospect of being ridiculed for her stutter in front of the guest. Her eyes welled up with tears, but she dared not look up as she timidly stepped forward with the coffee tray. "G-good m-morning, S-Sir," she stuttered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Their laughter rang out once more, echoing in the room. He wanted to catch a glimpse of the girl's face, to understand her better, but she kept her gaze firmly fixed on the floor.

Taehyung accepted the coffee with a nod of acknowledgment, but before he could speak, Sang-Hoon, y/n's cousin, couldn't resist making fun of her. The taunts stung, but y/n remained silent, her eyes still downcast.

Jin-Ho's voice cut through the air, further humiliating y/n as he declared, "This is the little maid of our house. Feel free to entertain yourself with her if you wish."

Taehyung's jaw clenched at the callousness of the remark, his gaze flickering briefly to y/n. He could sense her discomfort, her shame palpable even from a distance.

Taehyung's gaze remained fixed on Jin-Ho, his demeanor unwaveringly cold and stoic. Without another word, he addressed the room, his voice commanding as he requested to be shown to his room. Sang-hoon, with an air of apprehension, guided him to his accommodations, introducing him to the maids, Eun-Ji and Mi-Young, along the way.

Though Taehyung made no conversation, it was evident to him that the girl he had observed earlier was more than just a maid. The presence of Eun-Ji and Mi-Young, who hardly fit the stereotype of household staff, only served to confirm his suspicions.
