Alice Anderson"Step back, John. Do not say, I did not warn you" I said, surprisingly in a nervous tone.
"When a lady said to step back, the curtsey demanded you stay away from her like she's asked you to" a familiar voice said behind me.
I turned around and saw Ken standing just a few feet away from where I'm standing but, with a calm expression on his face. Whilst his hands are in the pocket of his pant.
What's he doing here and how did he get here so fast?
"Don" John muttered in a small, faint voice and Ken smirked.
Don?
Wait, did he just call Ken, Don? The same Don everyone has been talking about? The same Don everyone has been so scared of aside from Dom?
"I'm sure, y'all know what I'm capable of doing so, it's better y'all scram now or, crawl into your graves. Which of the two? Make a choice." He said and within a blink of an eye, they were all gone. They got into their car and drove away at full speed.
Without uttering a word to me, he turned around to leave but I stopped him. Of course, I'm not like him. I have to thank him for saving my life. "Wait, Ken. T.. th.. thank you for saving my life"
"I didn't save you because I wanted to, I did that because of my father" he said in a cold tone.
"Can you for once be civil with me? Why do you always get upset at me for no reason? I only thanked you for saving me in the hands of those guys"
"I didn't ask for gratitude from you." He turned to me as he said that. "shit! I can't believe this is what my father has been praising all this while, you couldn't even protect yourself, yet, he wants you to protect me?" He mocks.
"I can protect myself, you know. Even if you haven't shown up, I would have whipped their ass"
"Like you can. You were literarily shaking just a while ago"
"No, I wasn't scared of anyone. I've been trained to become this one day" I hissed and he sneered.
"Just come with me" he ordered.
"Come with you to where?" I asked, confused.
"Should I carry you like a sack of bag before you listen to me? Just fucking come with me and stop asking me questions" he hissed and walk away whilst I follow right behind him like a lost puppy.
For the first time in my life, I allowed someone else's to order me aside, Dom.
Okay, I think this is going to be interesting.
Without further argument, I followed him gently. He hopped in his car whilst I tried sitting at the back but his voice stopped me. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Entering the car, Mr. Domanco" I replied in a duh tone, rolling my eyes.
"I'm not dumb, of course, I know you're about to get in the car. Why the back seat?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Because I don't want to sit at the front" I replied with a shrugged shoulder.
"This is an order, dummy"
"You're not my boss" I hissed.
"Say a word again and you'll regret it. Get in and stop wasting my time" he hissed also. I sighed before doing as I was told.
He ignite the car engine and drove off. An awkward silence built between us, no one said a word to each other. I mean, what can we possibly have to say to each other?
