THE WORLD WAS SPINNING, at least in Bella Barnes' eyes. Sam, Colby, Alex, Nate and Athene lay in various parts around the room, all severely injured.
As the evil witch - as Bella had named her - walked towards her, she met Sam's eyes across the room. Tears fell from both their eyes.
'I'm so sorry', he mouthed to the girl. She shook her head. It was as much her and Athene's fault as the boys'.
"New sacrifices. Sounds fun."
Bella screamed in pain as something pierced her side, and as it went dark, she heard Athene cry her name.
