Island of Hell Act 1 - Paradise Island
BELLA TRIED TO KEEP HER SIGH QUIET. She didn't want to seem rude...not in this house.
She glanced over to Athene, whose arms were loosely crossed as the others - the adults - all took a shot. The twins met eyes for a moment,having a conversation with their eyes.
While the air in Belle Estate was clearer...there was something off. Bella couldn't put her finger on it. It was clean...but almost unnatural. Bella shook her head, nudging Colby lightly in the side with her elbow.
His blue eyes met her hazel, and she briefly gestured around her, shaking her head. He frowned, confused.
"Something's not right," she mumbled. "The air...something isn't right."
Colby nodded, looking away. "You sure?"
"Of course I'm sure. Have you met me?"
"Is something wrong dear?" Bella flinched when Georgia came over to her.
"Yeah, my stomach just doesn't feel right. It'll go away. It happens a lot."
Athene covered her mouth to stifle her laughter. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Bella shot her a glare.
A bit later, the twins were hanging around Sam and Colby, the former going through some photos.
"Colby!"
"Colby!"
Bella reached over and whacked Colby upside the head. "Oi!"
"What?" Colby whipped around to Sam. "What's wrong?"
"Who does this look like to you?" Sam held up a picture and Bella and Athene looked away at the sight. They were minors!
"Kat?"
When Sam hit Colby, Bella raised her eyebrows.
"His girlfriend," Colby snickered. Bella chuckled, shaking her head.
"That's mean, Colby."
The man glanced back to the picture, narrowing his eyes. "It looks like Georgia!"
"It does!" Sam agreed. "If she was in her twenties during the seventies..she'd be..."
Bella thought for a moment before clicking her fingers. "Sixty. She's in her sixties."
"Let's go before we get caught!" Athene hissed, gripping her sister's wrist and running down the stairs, Sam and Colby running after them.
"Isn't that Trey?" Colby stopped, pointing to another picture. Bella looked over.
"It is...but Georgia's too young. That's not Trey."
Georgia came up behind them, causing Bella to gasp. "Sorry, you scared me!"
Heading outside was kinda fun in Bella's opinion. She walked along in her sundress, twirling her arms around as they went along.
She watched as Nate became a dumber version of Tarzan before falling, she laughed as Athene filmed it, too. Bella's twin promised to send it to Alex, Sam and Colby later.
"You alright?" Bella asked, helping Nate up with a giggle.
"That was my favourite tree," Trey said bluntly. Athene rolled her eyes.
"You sure you alright?" Alex asked Nate.
"Yeah, I'm good."
"But the tree isn't, the tree is now broken," Trey told them.
"No one cares," Athene whispered to Bella, causing the girl to stifle her laughter so she didn't seem rude.
"This whole afternoon feels like a horror movie," Bella sighed.
