Arriving back to Mystic Falls, Nadine looked at Stefan as he parked the car in the school parking lot. She was nervous about this, but she knew for a fact that Klaus has something sinister planned for Max. They got out of the car causing Stefan to put his arms around Nadine. "It will be okay."

She looked at him as she had this feeling that something was going to happen and she didn't know what to do. Stefan turned her around and kissed her. "If you are worried about Elena, don't be. We broke up after she discovered what we were. Max is the one she's with now." He tells her. "Besides, I have you back and no one will come between us."

Nadine smiled as she kissed him. She had nothing to worry about, but she knew something will change.

Walking into the gym hand in hand, they heard Elena pleading with Max. Elena saw Stefan and Nadine, but saw them holding hands, which she will ask later. "Stefan, Nadine, help me."

Nadine walked up to Max and snapped his neck. Elena sighed in relief. "That works. For now." She says. "Thank you."

Nadine nodded she saw her brother. He saw the look and sighed. "Nadine, he is being punished for lying to us." She gave him a look. "I know you want me to ask and tell people about being a hybrid, but someone should be dead." Nadine shook her head. "Okay." He says more calmly. "Nadine, sister, is there a reason why she shouldn't be dead."

Stefan looked at him as he knew. "Because she doesn't need to be dead. Nadine read some more and it's Elena's blood. Her blood is what will create the hybrids, but Nadine wants you to talk to people and not be an ass about turning them."

Klaus looked at his twin who held a smile. "Nadine, love, only you can call me an ass." She smiled. "Elena, love, let's talk."

Nadine looked at Stefan as he pulled her into a hug. She smiled as he kissed her head. Turning around, Nadine kissed him as Elena watched Klaus leave. She looked at them. "Stefan, why doesn't she speak?"

"She's mute." He tells her. "She will tell you her story when she gets to know you, she's also my mate."

Nadine walked over after Max killed Chad and Diana and snapped his neck. "Why is she doing that?"

"Protecting you." Stefan tells her as he went to her. "She's trying to get her brother to do things the right way."

Elena saw how Stefan looked at Nadine and saw something he never showed her. Love. She smiled at the till Rebekah dragged Tyler in. Nadine shook her head as she ran out of the gym with Stefan. "Where's my sister?"

"She saw me dragging Tyler in here."

"Tyler, I'm doing this because I don't want my twin upset with me." He says. "Let's talk about the good side of being a hybrid."

Stefan walked to Nadine as she sighed. "Baby, I know you are upset, but I just heard Klaus before I came after you explaining the good things of being a hybrid. Come on, let's go home."

Nadine kissed him as she couldn't believe it. She had a home with the love of her life. Something she thought would never happen.
