Chapter 5 what was the deal?

What was the deal ?

After the death of Carter things weren't same at his home as well as his work place

He used to solve many cases and was just a beast in his field

A day later his funeral took place
For Chloe, her world has come to an end the moment she got to know about his death

The next day when Kevin got to the station he finds 8-10 dead bodies which were of terrorists

Yea the murderer of Carter was different than that of Dan's

And after this murder we know who so ever is the killer his/her  intentions aren't bad.
The only thing that the killer desire is death of the bad people who polluted the society and made this place unsafe for others

But Kevin already made a commitment
He will catch the killer anyway, anywhere and anyhow possible

And the incident made very obvious
The next murder will be of someone from the same background
Who commits crimes
Strain for the society and
Lives in this town

Kevin knows who he need to protect or more likely to find out the killer

Yea you heard me right
He now just wants to see who the killer or killers are, he had no chance to stand against them

He asks Tom to make the list of criminals and the day they committed the crime

After waiting for a while the list was ready

Toms enters the Kevin's cabin

Kevin "where's the list ?"

Tom "on the way"

Kevin "will it come on its own ?"

Tom "haha very innovative joke, definitely never heard it " in a sarcastic tone

After waiting for a few minutes a guy brings a whole damn box filled with some of the other cases.

Yeah almost everyone out there in the city committed some kind of crime

Kevin suggests some ideas to shortlist them

There were approximately 20-25 cases present, then Kevin makes several teams to keep a eye on each of the suspect but there weren't enough and they were able to manage to make teams and even many of them were scared thinking what if the killer try to kill them. Few of them backed off and now there were only 2 teams left

They chose a potential victim and then and waits for the death show to take place

Waiting for 2-3 days nothing happened to those potential victims but someone else died

It was same like the cases earlier

There were no committed a small crime which left a big impact on others

And yeah they were present in this town

Kevin and his team tried same again for few times but failed.

When everyone gave up, Kevin thought of going to some potential victims alone.

But he chose someone related to Chloe so that he could find someone else

Kevin was on his way to the last potential victim or you may call him Karl

The background of Karl was something like he was a school bully like dan and actually they are both a part of that so called cool gang who used to bullt people, to be specific bullying Chloe

Kevin was thinking whom to choose from that gang but after going through the statements he realised there was some connection between dan and Karl and they both were the people who were mostly interested in Chloe

So he was the only crime suspect remaining

Kevin reaches Karl's home and he thought to explain him the situation but Kevin knew that Karl won't listen to him anyway.

So there is no point these kids don't try to understand anything and kids nowadays are arrogant anyways

It's 9:05 PM
when Kevin reached the place where Karl was, he wasn't there at his house but instead he was busy clubbing with the help of his fake I'd,very common for a guy of his age.

At 12:18 am [23 June 2013]
           Karl came out of the Club fully sober, he didn't take a single drink there and Kevin followed him without drawing Karl's attention.

At 12:27 am
             Karl gets into his car and Kevin follows him in his car.

At 12:51 am
             Karl reaches and parks his car in his garage and goes inside
                 And Kevin parked his car down the street and enters the alley where Karl's house was

At 2:03 am
          There was nothing suspecious going on in there and Karl was watching some show on Netflix and Kevin lost all his hopes on catching the killer and felt defeated by that killer, he was disappointed and head back to his car
On the way back to the main street he noticed something odd, he notices a car parked near Karl's house which was kinda suspecious

When he arrived there , that car wasn't there but when he was heading back be saw that car and it also looked familiar.
With irrespective of who's car it was he just ran back there in no time, he didn't waste his time in re calling who the car owner was was.

The moment he got there he peaked from the window and was thinking that the killer didn't came there...yet... And he thought he was right , when he saw from that window he just saw TV was on. But after few seconds

At 2:21 
      Kevin hears the werid noice maybe the noice is someone tearing something.
And later someone screaming in pain
