Part 3

Kakashi and Obito spent the next few hours chatting with each other through the plane messaging app. Kakashi told Obito about his life and his job–although he glazed over the sad details and his shitty boss– Then he talked about the things he enjoys, like reading Icha Icha. Obito sounded very curious about them and why Kakashi liked reading them so much.

And he learned a little bit about Obito. Turns out Obito travels a lot because of his work and that he comes from a rich family... but Kakashi had to grill him for more details.

11D: You travel a lot for work? What's your job?

Obito seems to take a while longer to respond, which Kakashi finds curious. Finally, Obito replies:

3A: I'm actually a model. I travel to different cities to do photoshoots and ads and stuff. No big deal.

Kakashi stares blankly at the screen, his jaw dropping slightly. Wow, Obito is a model? Although he can't say he's surprised. Obito is super hot, plus that explains why he dresses so well.

Kakashi strokes his chin, wondering more to himself. If Obito is a model, why hasn't he recognized him? He must be pretty successful if he's able to afford first class, right? But to be fair, Kakashi doesn't pay attention to fashion or things like that. He shrugs it off.

11D: Woah, that's amazing! I had no idea. Anywhere I might have seen you?

3A: lol I'm just starting out though, not famous or anything yet.

3A: But once we land, and we get the internet connection back, I can show you some of my pictures. 😘

Kakashi raises a curious eyebrow. He figures Obito wants to stay mysterious about his job for now. He'll just have to look forward to those pictures later.

11D: I see. I can't wait to see those pictures then.

11D: And how about your family? What are they like?

3A: They can be rather difficult sometimes. Well... some of them.

11D: Everyone has weird family members.

3A: True. But some of mine are... psychotic. But in a good way, I guess haha

3A: I'll put it this way, some members of my family can be very strict and nosy, especially my uncle, who is the head of the family.

11D: I see...

3A: Yea, he can be tough to deal with, but he has to be. He's in charge of the family business after all.

Kakashi wonders what it would be like to have such a difficult person in the family–Someone who's very bossy and always prying into his personal life. It must be exhausting. Although, it makes sense if this person is the family patriarch and head of the family business; They would have to be tough if they must protect the family's wealth and reputation.

As he's thinking this, he sees Obito's next message pop on screen.

3A: Actually, I think he might like you... or maybe hate you. It depends on his mood.

Kakashi raises his brows. Oh, so Obito is already thinking of me meeting his uncle?

The initial surprise of the information sinks in, then he can't help it when a genuine smile forms on his lips. He smirks, then writes:

11D: So... you want me to meet your uncle? Does this mean that we're officially dating?

It doesn't take that long for Obito to reply, but Kakashi could still feel the anxiety as he watched the little dots blinking on the screen. When he sees Obito's response, he smiles wide with giddiness.
