It had been a couple of days since Laia and Eric decided to keep in contact and see how their feelings evolved. They had texted all the time and Laia was going to visit him in Girona soon too. But they were both busy so it wasn't as easy to find a free day to see each other.

Still, she felt a lot better. And also tired from work, so her plan was to take a bath and spend the evening reading and relaxing. But someone was waiting for her at her place.

"Laia!"

When Laia turned to look at who called her name, she didn't expect Pedri there. "Why are you here?"

"You don't want me here?", he joked.

"I didn't say that. I just...I thought you would never speak to me again".

"Yeah...I understand that reaction. I wasn't very nice to you".

"I gave you reasons to not be nice. It's ok".

"Not really. I guess that's why you went back to Eric. He won't do to you what I did".

"I didn't go back to Eric...what do you mean?", Laia didn't expect Pedri to know about that.

"I saw you two when I got here the other day".

"It's not what you think".

"You were kissing".

"It's now what you think, Pedri. We talked...and want to see if we still feel something and can be back together. But we're not".

"Why? He was your first love".

"Because what happened between us cannot be ignored".

"So you're saying there's a chance...".

Laia chuckled. "I don't know, Pedri. I'm a mess right now".

Pedri could tell there was something Laia wasn't telling him but at least she wasn't back with Eric. Or not fully back. He still had an opportunity to win her love back.

"So what are you and Eric going to do?"

"Just hang out. See how things evolve...".

"Could we hang out too?", he asked and Laia bit her lip nervously.

"I guess. Eric knows I'm supposed to choose between the two of you so...equal opportunities for both would be fair, I guess".

"Amazing", he said, giving her his best smile. "I was very unfair to you and I've really missed you".

"I missed you too, Pedri. I know I should have told you earlier. I went about it the wrong way. Like, the worst way things could be done...that's how I did everything".

"Hey", interrupted Pedri, placing a hand on her cheek and making her look at him. "We all made mistakes. How about we meet for dinner tomorrow and we can chat more relaxed".

"Sounds good".

"See you then".

Pedri got closer to Laia and she feared he was going to try and kiss her for a second, but he just kissed her cheek.

Laia needed that bath more than never. She was going to meet Pedri for dinner the next day and then see Eric during the weekend.

"What am I doing?"

She felt like she was playing with them. That was what she tried to avoid when she saw Pedri that night at the club. But then she couldn't stay away and this was the mess she was in at the moment. However, that mess brought Eric back into her life...so she guessed it wasn't all bad.

The next morning, she kept thinking about everything going on. It was hard to focus on working when there was so much drama in her personal life. And the drama wasn't going to let her have a moment of peace.

Her workmate Nuria was placing two bouquets of flowers on Laia's desk and when she saw her approaching, she raised an eyebrow.

"Both for you?"

"It might be a mistake", but Laia knew it wasn't after seeing the cards. One was from Eric and the other one from Pedri.

"Do you have two secret admirers or something?", Laia's silence said it all. "Good for you, babes!"

"I don't know about good...".

Nuria kept gushing about how beautiful the flowers were and how it couldn't be bad to have two men after you, which Laia disagreed with. But then, she had an idea.

"Nuri, can you tell me who to choose based on the bouquets?"

"No, but I can maybe try to read them a bit".

"Go on".

Nuria looked at Eric's bouquet first. "This one is more classical. But I can tell he knows you well. The colours of the flowers...pale pink and purple. Those are your favourites. He wants you to know he knows you, he's a safe option. He'll look after you well".

"Sounds about right".

"And this one...", she moved to Pedri's. "This one is adventurous. Look at the crazy colours. It's fun and exciting. It doesn't really look like something you'd usually go for but sometimes it's good to try new things too".

"So...who do I choose?"

"I can't tell you that, honey. Not based on flowers. And not even if I knew the guys who sent them. It's you who has to choose".

Great...but the big problem was that Laia didn't want to choose.
