"Come and join our photography club!"
"There's so much you can do in the science club!"
"Please come and get in!"
"Join our club to learn more about the environment!"
"Please join!"
Soomin glanced around the bustling hallway of KOZ University, her eyes scanning the various club booths set up for club day. Flyers fluttered in the air as students tried to grab attention, each club promising something exciting and unique. Yet, amidst the chaos, one booth stood out—a crowd gathered, filled with energy.
In the centre, a guy was performing, effortlessly moving to the beat of music blasting from a portable speaker. His body swayed with precision, his movements fluid and captivating, as if the music flowed through him like blood. The crowd cheered as he executed a series of flips, ending in a smooth, graceful pose.
Soomin, standing at the edge of the crowd, felt her heart flutter in awe. Her gaze lingered on Riwoo, who seemed to command the attention of everyone around him. It wasn't just his skill, it was the way he smiled, the way he moved with confidence.
"Wow... he's amazing," she whispered under her breath.
Suddenly, without fully realizing what she was doing, Soomin found herself stepping closer. Her feet moved as if pulled by an invisible force. Before she knew it, she was standing right in front of him.
"Um, hi," Soomin stammered, her voice shaky. She nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, feeling her face flush. "I-I couldn't help but notice your dance. It was... incredible."
Riwoo turned to her, his expression brightening instantly. His smile was warm and inviting, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Hey, thanks! I'm glad you liked it," he said, his voice full of genuine excitement. "Are you into dancing?"
Soomin bit her lip, unsure how to answer. "I... well, I've always been curious about it, but I've never really tried," she admitted, her cheeks turning a deeper shade of pink. She glanced at the ground, embarrassed by her lack of experience.
Riwoo's smile only widened. "No way! That's awesome! You've got to give it a shot, then!" he said, his voice filled with encouragement. "We're always looking for new members, and trust me, you don't have to be a pro to join. We'll teach you everything." He glanced over his shoulder at the small crowd that had gathered. "Actually...we've got a practice this afternoon. Why don't you come by and check it out?"
Soomin blinked in surprise, her heart pounding in her chest. "Me? At a dance practice?" she repeated, the idea both thrilling and terrifying.
"Yeah, why not?" Riwoo said with a grin. "It'll be fun. No pressure or anything—you can just watch if you want."
Soomin hesitated, the words "just watch" echoing in her mind. But something about Riwoo's energy, his easygoing self, made her want to push past her border. Maybe this was a chance to break out of her comfort zone. Maybe this was her moment.
