I was on my way back to the car, minding my own business. But suddenly, a small fluffy white creature darted towards me. I panicked. I don't know what to do. So, I ran.

In my attempt to escape the dog, poor me didn't see a man coming toward me. The next thing I knew, I had crashed into him, making me and him slam onto the ground. But, I was messed up with I accidentally kissed him. Mortified? Of course! I quickly scrambled to my feet with my heart pounding - badum badum badum...How embarrassing!

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you—I was just running away from that dog, and—" I stammered, brushing my hair out of my face.

The man, still on the ground, chuckled, clearly amused. "Well, that was unexpected."

I blushed furiously, my cheeks burning. "I didn't mean to knock you over!"

"It's fine," he said, standing up and dusting off his clothes. "I'm Leehan. And that little menace over there—" he pointed to the fluffy dog sitting calmly nearby "—is my dog, Connie."

I blinked, finally realizing the dog was his. "Your dog? Oh, God, I thought it was a stray!"

Leehan's grin widened, his eyes glinting with humour. "Nope. But I think I should've warned you that he likes to chase people."

It felt ridiculous and embarrassing but I couldn't help smiling. "I'm Yunha," I said, finally introducing myself.

And just like that, Leehan and his mischievous dog became a part of my park routine.

A few days after their awkward first encounter, I received a message from an unknown number. When I opened it, my stomach did a funny flip.

connie_owner: So, should I start carrying a shield in case you run into me again?

I laughed softly, feeling the embarrassment melt away as I replied.

yunhaaaaah: Haha, don't worry. I'll be sure to dodge next time.

After that, texting Leehan became my second nature. We didn't talk about anything particularly serious—just small talk, jokes, and the occasional banter about Connie. It felt lighthearted, like a breath of fresh air.

A few days later, I sent him a message while preparing my art supplies for a weekend trip to the park.

yunhaaaaah: I'm going to be painting in the park this Saturday. Will you and Connie be there?

I didn't expect a quick reply, but my phone buzzed almost immediately.

connie_owner: We might make an appearance. If Connie promises not to scare you again.

As our text messages and occasional park meet-ups continued, I began to feel more comfortable around Leehan. His easygoing nature, mixed with his playful sense of humour, made our interactions feel effortless.
