Hiccup had just returned from practicing to take out the yard of dragon ships, Hiccup entered his hut to find Dagur, "Dagur! What are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to visit you." Dagur tells him.

"Yeah, that's a complete lie. What are you doing here Brother?"

"Fine, I need a dragon so I can find Heather." Dagur sighs.

"Yeah, I-I don't think so-"

"Hiccup! You and Toothless owe me. I saved your lives!" Dagur cuts him off

"Oh gods. I-I can't train you to ride a dragon." Hiccup tells him

"Why not?" Dagur asks.

"I don't have the time." Hiccup tells him.

"Oh. You're too busy. I get it. Sorry. I'll be going. First maybe I'll, you know, take a stroll around the base. See a few old friends. Make a few apologies then go back to the twins." Dagur tells him walking off.

"Uh. No, no, no, no. Uh, you can't!" Hiccup jumps in front of Dagur.

"Why not?" Dagur asks.

"Okay, well, we'll meet first thing in the morning on the far side of the island." Hiccup tells him

"Great idea! Thank you, Hiccup! Thank you!!" Dagur tells him.

"Don't-don't mention it." Hiccup says.

Dagur leaves and goes to the cave the twins were in, "So is Uncle Hiccup going to teach you how to ride Sleuther better?" Dak asks.

"Two things: first yes he is and second I thought I told you not to call him that." Dagur tells them.

"You did but two things he told us to and it annoys you." Leyla tells him.

"You're a brat." Dagur tells her with no heat behind it.

"You love us." Leyla argues

"Yeah, yeah." Dagur says to them

"Can we come to the edge with you?" Dak asks.

"I'm not sure." Dagur tells them.

"Why not?" Leyla asks.

"Because the other Dragon riders don't know about you guys yet." Dagur argues.

"Why is that the only reason we can't go?" Dak asks.

"Because, I don't want people finding out about you two yet." Dagur tells them, "so you two are staying here. Okay?"

"Okay." The two of them mumble

The next morning Dagur wakes up early to meet Hiccup for the training he was promised.

"Dagur?" Dak's sleepy voice fills the room.

"Yeah Bud." Dagur asks, turning around.

"You'll come back right." Dak asks him tiredly.

"Yep, of course I'll come back, bud." Dagur tells the tired boy.

"M'kay." Dak tells him before falling back asleep. Dagur walks to where Hiccup wanted to meet, Landing in the forest Dagur just waits for Hiccup. Hiccup flew down where Dagur was standing.

"Brother." Dagur greets.

"Hello, Dagur. How are the twins?" Hiccup asked.

"The twins are great." Dagur tells him.

"Still in denial about you being their dad?" Hiccup asks.

"I'm not their dad." Dagur tells him.

"I'll take that as a yes." Hiccup tells him.
