There's something weird about being the new one. The cold air felt brisk against the young girls skin.

As she walked the streets of virginia there wasn't much more in the brunettes mind.

All she knew was that today she needed coffee. Lorelei was prone to make herself perfect no matter what she was doing.

Today was no different than any other.. besides the fact that today was Lorelei's first day at a new job after working in the same place for the past two years.

The 28 years old knew that she was good at what she does. She always has been.

There was no doubt to most people that Lorelei couldn't do this. Walking through the cold hall until the brunette was able to get an official badge. A badge that promoted her being. Something that allowed her to be there.

The girl walked to the front desk. She was greeted by someone who seemed to be having a bad day.

The man slashed around in papers shoving some off of the desk as he went. The young girl cleared her through to grab his attention

"What!" He exclaimed before looking up "oh god. I am so sorry you just scared me.. can I help you?"

"Yes actually. You can. Agent Lorelei Rodrigo." The middle aged woman said as she extended her hand. "I'm here to retrieve my badge if you would."

The male took her hand and apologized not once, not twice, however three times. It was clear to her  he was new and didn't know how to handle his job properly.

The male looked away and rummaged through his drawer before pulling out a badge that was previously made, however containing a recent picture.

The female put it on her blazer before continuing to walk through the building. There was something about elevators that made the girl feel uneasy, something about being in a large metal container.

So she took the stairs.

Three flights of stairs, it wasn't a harsh climb, in fact it just made the girl feel more alert. As she pushed through the glass doors- the ones that separated the open area from the actual work area- she took a breath. What was there to worry about?

The brunette straightened her back and clutched her coffee a slight bit tighter. She walked with her head high examining every person in the room without making it look like she even glanced towards them.

Lorelei made her way up the stairs, to an office. The girl made a fist with her unoccupied hand and put it in motion, one .. two .. "Come in" a voice sounded.

Lorelei pushed the door open and stepped inside. "Good morning Agent. My name is Agent Lorelei Rodrigo, I'm the new transfer." The male stared at her for a minute. "I have to papers if they were never turned to you." She states.

"They were." The man raises from his desk and walks around to meet the younger girl. He holds his hand out for the brunette to grasp. "Agent Rodrigo, I'm Agent Hotchner."

The hand shake was quick, didn't last long- less than a second if you were to ask Lorelei.

"We've cleared you off a desk," the male continued to speak as he led the other agent out of his office. "Starting closest to the door, Agent Derek Morgan. Moving next to him we have Agent Spencer Reid, behind them both is Agent Jennifer, JJ, Jareau. Behind her is Agent Emily Prentiss, and your desk is next to hers." The inferior agent listened as he spoke as she continued to glance- some may say judge- the people bellow her. "Down the hall is SSA David Rossi." The brunette nodded.

"I'll be on my way then .. Agent." The young girl turned her head and walked down the stairs. She didn't come with luggage, all she contained was her coffee, personal phone, and book. There was something she needed that consisted in her not making herself a home.
