・❥ why can't I see her cry? ❥・

Jay

"I'm sorry I just." She stilled and whispered abruptly.

"Aadhya you don't have to be sorry about crying infront of me. It doesn't show that you're weak. It's a way of letting go of the burden you've been carrying on your chest."

She stared straight into my eyes. God it hurts so much to see her like this. When I came running here to witness aadhya crying all I wanted was to tear the person who made her cry. It builds a knot in my chest to see her like this. I can't see her like this my heart aches to take all of her pain and give her all the happiness she deserves. These tears trailing down her cheeks created a havoc inside me. She never had a breakdown like this before. I know she was holding it for too long and today it all grew to the point where she couldn't take it anymore. I caressed her back in a attempt to make her calm. We stood there in silence for what seemed like enternity.

"Don't worry we'll do everything to get your admission there and trust me uncle would be happy to his daughter happy."

I cupped her cheeks while saying this. She suddenly gazed at me in eyes and made a face of how do you know.

"Avni." She nodded .

"Why didn't you tell me? Aadhya atleast you could have told me."

Her eyes yet again holding the emotion that I have never been able to decipher because it's similar what I holds for her. Yet it's unrecognisable.

"I just didn't want you to be worried unnecessarily." She said trying  to mold the conversation very cleverly.

"Unnecessarily? Really?" I looked at her in disbelief.

"Leave that now. Please. I don't wanna talk about that."

And I did because I can't see her cry. why? I seems to form no words to answer that. It's like her tears made a deep stab in my chest and it couldn't stop bleeding, for her.

After some time.

We stood infront of the " STANFORD LAW UNIVERSITY."

"So this is the law school huh?" I asked examining the infrastructure of the building carefully.

"Yeah." She released a harsh breathe. We entered inside, making our way towards the reception. Aadhya went towards to receptionist.

"Excuse me, can we talk to Mr oberoi please?"

" Do you have a appointment Ma'am?" She looked through her laptop.

" No we don't but-"

" I'm sorry Ma'am you cannot meet him at this moment, he's busy." Aadhya looked in my direction, and I instantly knew she's holding back herself from using her father's name because she hates getting things done by his name and not by actually working hard. I squeezed her shoulder lightly, eyeing her to do it. She sighed and looked back at the receptionist.

"Tell him it's Mr Amandeep Verma's daughter here." The receptionist gave Aadhya a weird look before calling someone.

"May we come in sir?" I knocked onto the door. "Yeah come in." Mr oberoi said slightly glancing in our direction, before occupying himself with the file work again.
