All week Hanni had been so out of it at the hospital and everyone seemed to have noticed it. Especially Mike.
Today, He had noticed that Hanni had shown up in 2 different socks. He wasn't stalking her or anything. He was just paying extra attention. One of them was a blue sock and the other was red with stars. He almost laughed before noticing Hanni looked really stressed.
He gently cleared his throat and told her softly, "Hey.. Um you're wearing two different socks."
"Huh?" Hanni's eyes looked at him unfocused before she finally registered what he had just said. "O-oh. I hadn't noticed. Thanks for letting me know." She gave him a weak smile.
Hanni in question was very stressed. Today was the day she was supposed to meet so called Mr. Jeongin or Jungho was it? She didn't remember. Whatever the case, she wasn't ready and had been making silly mistakes all week because of this distraction.
At around 12 PM she winded up her work and headed home to get ready. She had had the night shift and was very tired as is. But, putting all that aside she went up to her room to get ready in a pretty frock her mum had bought for her. It was in black that reached above her knee. It flared at the waist.
With that she simply put on black sandals and fixed her hair. She hadn't made much of an effort but even she had to admit she looked pretty decent and put together.
She made her way downstairs and could hear people talking as she neared the living room.
Her palms got sweaty.
