Chapter 4

THE SCARING CAT.

Rishi.

The sun was starting set when Rishi was in his secret office, looking at the view of busy  city at evening. It's been two hours. It's been two hours since Rishi's men started to beat the crap out of the man called Veshtan.

The sound of his voice crying and pleading was audible from the next room. That guy don't know what he is trying to accomplish by pleading... it's pretty dumb. He knows very well that Rishi will not leave him until he gives him the information he wants.

This bast*** had the audacity to join his organisation and spied on him. He was working for someone. Someone who knows about him... They dared to make him their target. But they don't seem to be too serious about it... because,if Rishi is their target,they would have choosen a better spy.

Rishi did not like being watched. He hates it.

"Leave me!!! Please!!! I just did what they told me too!!!", his voice echoed from the next room.

"He is not giving anything...I am losing it."said Suraj.

Rishi turned to face him and noticed him pouring two glasses of whiskey. He went towards him and took a glass from his hand as they both took a sip. Rishi sat on his couch with his legs crossed.

Suraj sat on the desk and asked Rishi, "I heard you are getting engaged?"

Rishi glanced up at him as he took a sip, "hmmhm."

"So, what do you want me to do?"asked Suraj.

When Rishi didn't answer,Suraj raised his eyebrows and asked," well? "

"Well what?" Rishi asked.

"You don't want me to do anything to stop this? You know... like with your past girlfriends?" He asked.

"No. There's no need for that." Rishi replied, not giving a shit about the shocked look on Suraj's face.

"Are you seriously going to marry an unknown girl?" He asked in a surprised tone.

Rishi sighed and with a smug smile ,he said, "She is not an unknown girl..."

Suraj just starred at him and asked ," you know her?"

"Remember the girl who spoke on stage at our convocation?"Rishi asked.

From the expression on his face, Rishi was able to tell that Suraj was so thoroughly checking his entire memory bank. It seems like he remembered because, the next moment ,he asked, "You mean that girl?!! birdie?!!"

Rishi gave Suraj a death glare when he addressed her by her nickname that he had kept for her, Suraj quickly noticed this and put his hands up in the air,"Sorry for that."

After a moment of silence...

"Now...I see."said Suraj with a smug smile.

"What?" Rishi asked in a cold tone.

"Are you seriously going to marry your cousin's ex just because you liked her five years ago?"asked Suraj and Rishi gave him a laugh.

It was a deathly laugh with no emotion, which instantly made Suraj his  regret decision about asking this question.

"Why would him being her ex should stop me from marrying her?", Rishi asked with a smile which is anything but  sweet.

Suraj just scoffed and said"Bro, I mean... come on. You have had your eyes on her even before they both started to date. But you stopped as soon as you came to know about her relationship with your brother."
