Team Z was crushed by Team X, who centered the offensive play around egoistical yet skilled Baro. Responding to Ego's urge to take up a weapon, the players discuss what their weapons are in preparation for the next match.
However, Isagi struggles to identify what it is. Using the smell of the goal he felt in the game against Team X as a hint, Isagi and the others go against Team Y in the next match.
Team Z goes around and say their weapons and motto. However, Isagi isn't sure what to say, while Chigiri refuses to say his. The group determines that even if they know what the other is strong, if they still play like the last time, they won't win again.
Isagi wonders if they can come up with a plan that lets everyone shines. Thinking about it, Kuon comes up with a plan, that would require their positions to rotate clockwise each few minutes, so everyone gets to be a striker.
While eating, Isagi continues to think about his weapon, but recalling Baro, he guesses he may not have a weapon. Kunigami then approaches isagi, "Thanks for passing to me in the last game."
"Why do you play football?" Isagi asks kunigami, who's eyes looks up at the ceiling in thought.
"Well, because i want to be a football superhero. When i was young i didn't look up to superheroes, robots or pirate kings. But i idolized strikers who score to win. I mean, they weren't fictional, but real life superheroes who gave me excitement and courage." This is what Kunigami wants to be and doesn't care if someone will laugh at him.
"Sounds pretty deep." Isagi says, his blue eyes never leaving kunigami's figure.
Isagi realizes Kunigami has a strong will and finds him quite cool. Kunigami then picks his dinner, which is a steak. That shocks Isagi as he is still eating natto.
Kunigami points Isagi at the goal bonus board, where those who score get a point, which can be exchanged for a steak or other goods and luxuries. Seeing it, Isagi sees that for 10 points, you can leave the Blue Lock for one day.
Kunigami explains he owns half the goal to Isagi and cuts his steak in half and gives it to Isagi.
"Though i gotta say, why did you pass to me? Raichi was way more open." Kunigami wonders.
"I passed it subconsciously and that since Baro was in front of them, i though that you could do a mid-range shot as i knew from before how powerful your shot was." Isagi explains.
"Maybe your weapon is to make Instant decisions which is impressive." Kunigami smiles slightly at Isagi who's in deep thought.
As they eat the steak, they both love it and Isagi thanks Kunigami for being such a nice guy. Kunigami blushes, which makes Isagi realize he can't take compliments well.
