It was just another day for Y/n L/n. Getting up, getting ready, and having his morning cup of coffee before his morning run he'd usually do. Y/n was barely getting used to life on his own since he moved out of his parents' home. Y/n had finished high school and now he was on the fence on going to school or not.
As he got ready, putting on his sweater and jogging pants, Y/n made sure his house was locked. Windows and back door. Walking toward his front, Y/n grabbed his phone and house keys from the kitchen counter and made his way out the door. Y/n's morning runs were his normal route around his neighborhood.
While he ran, Y/n squinted his eyes and tilted his head as the same police car drove past him a third time. He however didn't think much of it and continued running eventually finishing and returning home. After getting home and taking a shower, Y/n got dressed in his bedroom. While getting dressed, Y/n's attention was then shifted outside of his window. His curtain was slightly opened and so when getting ready, he caught a familiar vehicle parked by the curb next to his house.
Walking to the window, Y/n stares at the same police cruiser that he saw driving past him while he was running earlier. As he opened his curtain a little more, the car suddenly sped away. A little weirded out, Y/n closed his curtains all the way and went downstairs to check his door, making sure it was locked.
With the strange police car following and stalking him, Y/n tried to distract himself with movies and video games. Video games were something Y/n always looked forward to every day. Not just because of the joy of playing the game itself, but the person he normally plays with. The player he stumbled across while playing some Call of Duty warzone. The player was a girl from the other side of the country, in New York. Her name was Amber.
Getting on, Y/n played only for a few minutes before seeing her name pop up as active. A small smile grew on his face as he saw a call from her pop up in Discord only a few moments later.
"Hey, Y/n! I was wondering when you'd get on." Her voice as
hyper as ever before.
"I was taking a shower. Sorry."
"Oh?" Amber sounded with a teasing tone. Y/n chuckled as he ridiculed her. After the two share a moment of laughter their evening gaming session begins. A few hours later, Y/n was the first to stop. Barely being able to keep his eyes open, he set his controller down.
"I-I think I'm going to call it here, Amber..." Y/n yawns and sighs softly.
"Aw, giving up already," Amber cackles. "Well, then I'll see you later, Y/n."
"Night," Y/n replies before shutting off his computer and moping to his bed. As he collapses onto it, his eyes shoot open before he stands back up. He walks back to his window that he had opened to let in some breeze, and catches a glimpse of the police car that's been stalking him before it drives off again. Now feeling concerned, Y/n decides to call the police.
As the operator answers, Y/n explains the cop car that's been following and stalking him to the woman over the phone. The operator herself sounds a bit unconvinced but assures Y/n that she'll look into the matter. As the operator hung up, Y/n closed his curtains and windows and walked downstairs to double-check his doors, making sure they were locked.
That night, Y/n slept a little on edge so when the sun rose the next morning, Y/n only had a few hours of sleep in. When Y/n got up from his bed, his head was throbbing and his eyes were red from the little sleep he got. Sitting up, he reached over to his nightstand where his phone was and checked the time. As he opened his phone he was met with a message from Amber.
"Good morning, Y/n." The text read, sent last just a few minutes ago. However, as groggy as Y/n was, he had promised his parents a week ago, that he was going to find a job today.
