CHAPTER EIGHT: the one where he 'dies'

Nami was no where to be seen when Zoro, Lia, Luffy and Usopp made there way over to where the duel was about to take place, literally right out side the Baratie. Everytime Lia walked towards the doors she could just feel memories coming back from the day her parents left her, it had happened right there. what scared her most was that this place might become a memory of where her best friend died. If that happened she wouldn't be able to step foot in the Baratie again, it would be too painful for her.

'monkey d luffy, i'm suprised the marines would require my services for such a small package, thought i do like your hat,' the four of them were getting closer to Mihawk.

'enough, let's begin,' Zoro wanted it to be over with, so did everyone else, they wished they'd be able to skip to the bit where they'd know the outcome without seeing a potentially painful death for their friend.

Mihawk pulled his cross necklace to reveal a tiny dagger.

'what the hell is that? i'm here for a sword fight,' Zoro was not impressed at all.

'i don't hunt rabbits with a cannon,' implying Zoro was nothing compared to him, that he didn't need to fight properly in order to destroy him.

'i'm not rabbit,' Zoro pulled out two of his swords.

'that remains to be seen,' Zoro ran towards Mihawk, going to attack him with his two swords but Mihawk was able to stop him with just his one tiny one, hitting it away, sending Zoro sliding back.

Zoro didn't hesitate to run straight towards Minhawk again, but he was able to hit Zoro away sending him flying back every time.

'you're strong, but fighting isnt all about strength,' Mihawk looked at Zoro who was now on the ground.

'stop talking and fight,' Zoro stood back up, clearly
getting more annoyed that this wasn't the fight he signed up for.

He ran back towards Mihawk attacking him multiple times but he stabbed his tiny sword into Zoro'a chest.

Lia could feel someone behind her, she looked to her left to see Nami had decided to join them, the smiled at each other briefly before turning to watch what would happen to Zoro.

He got his third sword out and placed it into his mouth, Mihawk grabbed his giant sword, this was a fight to the death.

'come on zoro,' lia whispered to herself, her heart was racing like it never had before, she had this sick feeling that she was about to witness something she'd been fearing for the past twelve hours.

The two jumped towards each other, their swords clanging together, Zoro landed on his knees, his two main swords breaking into pieces.

'you're defeated. why do you persist?' Mihawk asked as Zoro stood up and turned towards him.

'wounds on the back are a swordsman's shame,' Zoro put his third sword back and speed his arms wide.

Luffy grabbed Lias hand whilst Usopp grabbed Nami's, she could already feel tears starting to form.

Zoro nodded towards Mihawk who then slashed Zoro's chest sending him falling back immediately.
