Elliott woke in the backseat of an SUV. She could hear the chatter of Stefan and a certain hybrid in the front seats and she didn't panic, her gut feeling telling her that she was safe.
Her dream was vivid in her mind and she searched her pockets for her phone. She found it in her back pocket and yanked it into view. She turned it on, flicking through her contacts for her desired number.
Just as she was about to hit call, the brunette lifted her eyes to the two supernatural beings in the front seats. As much as she really wanted to call Dean, she wanted to do it alone. It was something that should be between her and her father only, without prying ears.
She held back a sigh, returning the device to it's pocket. She spotted her backpack on the floor in front of her and sat up, catching the attention of her companions. She didn't speak, having nothing to really say. Instead she grabbed the bag, pulling it into her lap and opening it. The journal she'd kept glued to her since she received it sat neatly on top of the packed items. A clear plastic ziplock bag was underneath it, holding her medication along with a few extra bottles of each prescription. A couple changes of clothes were packed at the bottom.
She had a feeling she had Stefan to thank for the items, and she would when she found her voice again.
She plucked the journal out, discarding the rest of the back to the seat beside her. She flipped through the journal, taking the time to make a mental list of supplies for herself. She wanted to start learning to hunt. She wanted to save people.

The retrieval of supplies was easier than what Ellie had first expected. Most likely because the journal provided her with the knowledge she needed. She knew how to spot hunter's signs in the windows of certain shops. She'd snuck away from her supernatural companions while they were distracted, texting Stefan to inform him that she was in a town nearby while he and Klaus took care of the two women that Klaus needed info from. She'd also requested that he get her a few bottles full of their blood once they were inevitably killed. She was aware it wouldn't work on her companions, but if she ever ran into the other type of vampire, it would be nice to have.
She searched the shops for signs, praying there was one she could get at least some supplies from. She had a page from a notepad folded up in her pocket, items she wanted listed on it neatly.
Her backpack was emptied out into a new suitcase that she demanded Klaus buy for her. Instead, it now held rock salt, a machete, a few different guns that she'd had Stefan compel her, the journal, and a few good quality lighters that were in the small front pocket away from everything else.
Her eyes finally landed on what she had been looking for. She strolled into the hunter friendly shop and pulled the list from her pocket. She rolled her sleeves up, meandering to the counter at the left side of the door.
There was an older blonde woman, her eyes worn and almost haunted. Elliott sensed that she had been through things, that she had no doubt been in Elliott's shoes years before.
"Hi! I uhm." Elliott hesitated, fumbling with her list nervously. She was honestly intimidated by the blonde, and her haunted stare. But she shook it off, determined to get what she needed and came for. "I have a list, and I saw the hunter's signs in the window. I was hoping you could help me obtain some of these items?"
Elliott unfolded the paper gently, turning it around and setting it on the counter separating her from the woman. The blonde's eyes left Ellie, scanning her list with little emotion. Ellie chewed on her lower lip, hope tight in her chest.
The older of the two took the paper into her hands, humming something to herself. She scanned it once more, then gave Ellie a sweet smile that evaporated the unsettled feeling on the teen's shoulders. She returned the woman's smile.
