You see me

dancing through the street

singing of blissful merriment

to the strangers of the night.

Dancing through the streets

I see wonder in the childs eyes

also fear

fear of the unknown.

Singing in blissful merriment

the couple join in

youthful years long ahead

the dream in their eyes.

To the strangers of the night

I sing my praise

swinging in the circles of a one person waltz

waiting for someone to dance with me.

How do you like?  Dedicated to ArseSOM3 for the first comment on my story. Thanks!

I was thinking of swapping "person" (stanza 4, line 3) with "woman" your thoughts? This form of poem is called a retourne. Thanks for reading, first to comment gets a dedication!
