🦤Yin's POV
We arrived in New York two days ago. I've been accompanying War to all his meetings, Nona and Belle spending time together while we're away for work.
But as soon as the meetings are over, we directly go to her. Good thing the working hours here are just 5 to 6 hours.
We try out different breakfast and dinner spots too since lunch is reserved with the investors and some partners we have in the country.
Days passed like a blur, some free afternoons we go out to spend in multiple different museums. The American Museum of Natural History, Liberty Science Center, Museum of Modern Art, Met Museum, and we've also visited the Statue of Liberty as well as walked Times Square and Central Park.
We also watch Hamilton in Broadway.
War made sure we do something every day. A new restaurant, a new place to visit, a new experience.
Belle is eating it all up.
She has never even taken her skates out of the hotel.
"We're flying up to Rochester tomorrow. You should be able to use your skates outside." War encourages her as she frowns on the skates by the door.
The ceremony's set for the following day so we still have time to settle down.
The next day came and off we go to the tarmac. A business partner lent a private jet for us to use, so we took that. It's about an hour of fly time so we're there in no time.
We got checked in and we're staying here for the rest of our trip. We got Belle to agree that we're not going to Disneyland this time. We promised a whole week of Disneyland so we're paying for this 'Disneyland-free trip'.
We got inside this beautiful cozy house.
Wait... should I call this a mansion?
The agent toured us around the property. It's a huge place, over 600 sqm. But that includes three gardens, an indoor pool, it's only about 10meters from the lake that the entire group of houses use privately.
Yep, this gated community of 12 houses privately access this lake.
Isn't that rich or what???
The trees are all dark orange, to terracotta, to browns.
We're in the middle of fall and the place is cold. The house is decorated as such.
The inside is all wood. The smell is just warm. There's a light cinnamon scent... and is that crisp apples? Like lightly caramelized sugar, freshly baked apple pies, and pumpkin spiced
The outside is earthy and crisp. Leaves on the trees are about half off and half of these are rotting on the floor. But it's not disgusting. We don't have this back home, I can't compare it.
"Our photos tomorrow will be dope." War murmurs as we walk around the back. I chuckle at his attempt to sound cool.
"Dope? What are you, a 16-year-old during the 1990s?" I chuckle at him.
"Hey! I just heard that when we stopped over at that small coffee shop for a pumpkin spiced latte!" he pouts at me.
"Papa's ooold" Belle murmurs as she licks her caramel apple. She can't bite it since it's too large. She's just licking the caramel off it. We bought it on the open market just at the center of the town.
"Heyy!! I'm not that old!" War defends.
"But you're older than daddy." She sang those words as she skips in front of us. These two-love teasing each other. "4 years." she adds as she turns around to face us.
