Axel POV

I was the Alpha of the silver Crescent moon pack, one of the biggest packs in America as well as the current heir to the company we also ran, it's what helped us fund our lifestyle as well as allowing us to do more behind most humans' backs.

We actually ran quite a few operations in the country, as we've been established here for centuries now.

With this came a lot of responsibility and pressures, I was the Alpha but I had no Luna with me, most Alpha's of my status would have their mates by now, found during most pack gatherings of social events with other packs.

I was responsible for taking care of this pack, these lands we have lived on for centuries and any supernatural problems that came our way.

But it was not all that bad, we hadn't had many problems in my time as Alpha, only a few noticeable rogue attacks which were dealt with swiftly and brutally.

I was tall like most Alpha's, around 6 '4 with medium length black hair, it was slightly wavy and fell down my back and Framed my face nicely. Bright amber orange eyes with an almost golden hue to them, I had a sharp jawline and eyes, most told me I had a naturally intimidating expression as my default.

I often enjoyed wearing a waistcoat and suit, black normally as it was traditional but I could also enjoy more comfortable clothes, I often gravitated towards a flannel and baggy black jeans.

My Beta Leo's wedding was coming up soon, and I was ecstatic for him and very happy, he was my best friend since childhood and I trusted him to help me run this pack. His mate was our packs witch, a lovely short and curvy lady named Lilian, originally from England but moved here for her studies.

She was a good friend of mine now too, although I was very hesitant to accept her into the pack, especially considering she came from so far away.

But Leo convinced me and I must say she hasn’t disappointed me, or given me a reason to believe she could hinder the pack, in fact she had befriended the majority of them, she was quite the friendly face.

My only problem with her recently was her telling me that her long time best friend from childhood, who was coming here to work on her wedding dress, was in fact a vampire.

But not a normal one, from what Liliana could tell me Diana had been taking medications since her early years to suppress and sustain her, feeding on different sources of blood that didn’t require biting anyone, and the fact she seemed to be stronger than a typical vampire.

as was normal with born vampires and not bitten ones, though Diana apparently seemed to possess a muffled yet powerful aura reminiscent of a noble rank.

What had me confused was how she could possibly be unaware of her vampire nature, according to Liliana she was completely oblivious, believing it to be a genetic disorder or mutation.

I honestly shouldn’t be surprised as she was raised with humans and not her own kind, she knew nothing of the supernatural world.

Even with that I still wasn’t happy to learn this, or the fact she was going to be staying with Lilian and Leo, i didn't want such a strange and possibly unpredictable vampire in my pack territory. But after some hours Lilian managed to convince me to agree to some conditions that at least made me feel less nervous.

Lilian or Leo had to be watching her at all times if she was around pack members, she wasn't allowed in pack hunting areas on her own, she wasn't allowed to use any powers that she possibly could possess, she was not to know about the pack as werewolves and finally no one could see her feed.

The last thing that was needed was the pack to know a vampire was here but not to approach her on the subject.

I still wasn't happy about this but Leo was giving me frequent updates on Diana and the situation that was going on, and from what he told me she seemed pretty human less you knew what you were looking for.
