Tylia walked into her room, and immediately collapsed on her futon, and kicked off her shin-high boots. The black boots landed in the corner with a thud, standing straight up. They were weighted in the bottom so that it was easier for the Enforcers to stick their landings when jumping from roof to roof. Or off of them for that matter. They were shin-high to offer better ankle support. They didn't used to be, but when one of the Enforcers got caught after twisting his ankle, West ensured that would never happen again. He made all the Enforcers, assassins or no, train in those boots going forward.
Tylia rolled onto her side, and grabbed a small sketchbook out from under her mattress, and the charcoal pencil that went with it. She flipped it open, not bothering to look at her past drawings, and stopping at the next empty page. She leaned her back back against the paper thin walls, and considered what she should begin to sketch. While deep in thought, she heard thundering footsteps. She braced herself in case West decided to give her a surprise visit. After a few moments, she released her breath, thinking that she was safe from his wrath. As she went back to thinking on what to draw, she heard a scream, and glass shattering. The young assassin wondered what poor girl West was punishing this time.
Eventually, Tylia decided she would draw her favorite spot. It was a desolate shack just outside the borders of Aralea, covered in moss and greenery, but it was all hers. An added perk was the small stream of running water next to it. Once in a while, a stray deer or critter would come to drink out of it. Tylia had discovered this place on her way back from a mission two years ago, and had slowly been fixing up the inside. She had added a small pile of pillows and blankets, and a substantial amount of food. All of the food was stored in cans, so nothing would be fresh, but if she ever needed an escape, she knew exactly where to go. The small room in which Tylia had been sketching was starting to get too dark to see, so she lit a candle, and held it just close enough that she could finally finish her drawing. As she closed her private sketchpad, she noticed that it was almost full. Since she was probably getting a new mission soon anyways, she decided that she would pick one up then.
