Camden had just exited the long corridor when he remembered something. He had been meaning to ask Urian about this for a while.

"Hey, where's Urian?" He asked the young woman sitting at the front desk.

"He's in the training room, supervising some of the new cadets."

"Alright, thank you so much!" Camden began to walk over to the entrance to the room, planning out exactly what he was going to say. He was so invested, he forgot there was a step before the door, and he was unfortunately stepping with his short leg.

"Ow!" He yelped, landing on his front with a thud. Everyone turned to look at him. In his moment of panic, he had accidentally opened the door to the training room, and his commotion had caused everyone to pause what they were doing and look at him. Camden's face turned a violent shade of pink, and his heart started beating faster.

He tried to act nonchalant by saying, "Carry on everyone. I guess I just forgot how smelly you guys get in here!" He laughed at his own joke, and earned a few laughs from other people around the enclosed space. Camden quickly dusted himself off, and scanned the room. He spotted Urian standing in the SouthWest corner talking to one of the instructors. He decided he should probably wait until his boss was done before attempting to talk to him. It took a few minutes, but when he was done, he strolled over to the older man.

"Hey Urian." Camden calmly addressed him, silently praying that he hadn't seen his mishap a couple of minutes prior.

"Hello Mr. Garett. Are you okay? That was quite a tumble you took there. Record breaking even!" Urian belted out a boisterous laugh, one that felt like it shook the entire room. There went Camden's hope of being taken seriously during this conversation.

"Oh yeah," He said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm fine. I just forgot about the step there. Anyways, I wanted to talk to you about something."

"Whatever you need, I'm your man. I'm...how do you say it...relatable!" Camden cringed inwardly at the man's joke, but went along with it anyway.

"For sure. Anyways, I just have a few questions."

"Alright, shoot." Urian said, his face turning serious and unfeeling. It always made Camden feel queasy, not being able to tell someone's feelings based on their facial expressions. He could easily tell by using his power, but using it against people he knew always felt like he was crossing a boundary that didn't need to be crossed.

"Okay, well um..." He started, "I don't really know how to ask this, but..."

"Well? Spit it out boy!" Urian encouraged enthusiastically.

"We know where the Enforcers are located, so why haven't we raided their base yet? We could save so many lives!"

"That's uh, that's a good question. Now I have one of my own. What caused you to ask it?"

"I was trying to find out where I could find the girl from the market, and the name she gave me belonged to someone who died about 20 years ago. I was curious how she died, and it was from the lead Enforcer himself. West Bronwen killed the real Resa."

"Well, West is super powerful. We still don't actually know his power, and if we were to go take down some criminals without knowing his powers, so many of us could get hurt. Someone could get killed, Camden." Urian took a steadying breath. "That's why we haven't 'raided' their base yet."

"I guess that makes sense." Camden nodded, accepting his superior's answer. "Thank you, sir. I think I should get home now. Eliss is probably expecting me."

"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow. Don't be late." Urian said in a gruff, but sincere voice. He thought of Camden as the son he never had. Urian had cared for him ever since his parents had died on a mission gone bad. Unbeknownst to Urian, Camden thought of him as a father figure.
