Chapter 2: The Nightmare

Darkness consumed Joseph's mind as he lied on the floor. He was about to wake up but to be fair he got beat the shit out off by a blockheaded Mario ripoff that's why he has been sleeping a long time, but that doesn't matter right now. The darkness began to swirl into light as colour came back to his eyes. He awoke to a tainted purple glowing and the rough, tatty floor he was lying on "Where.. Where am I?" He asked as he awoke from his slumber. He seemed to be trapped in a dimly lit, futuristic containment cell. Surely Safecase can't afford the technology for all this? Joseph began to hear a slight tapping noise coming from an unknown source. As the noise grew nearer he began to realise what it was. Footsteps. Loud piercing footsteps. He hid himself in the corner to catch a glimpse of his captor, through the singular window and avoid being seen. "No Way." He whispered to himself. The being walked past the window. What he saw was no human... It had green skin, wide black eyes, White robotic armour and a shiny grey gun. That was an alien. Joseph paused in shock and slightly glanced down to look again. Something was new. Something was missing "Wait, My suit is gone!" Joseph shouted. "They must of slipped it off earlier and robbed it for scavenging the twats" He said to himself. He looked at his fist. He looked at the window. He banged on the glass with force. Nothing happened. He repeated. A slight crack began to form. He did it one final time. The glass shattered everywhere. The noise pierced the halls. "Oh Shit" Joseph stated in an annoyed tone. He grabbed his jacket out of the box of unwanted prisoner items, climbed out the window and ran for it, but of course he had to turn back. "Oh, my suit!" "I cant leave without my suit". The shattered glass had caused sirens to turn on. "Find the Prisoner!" An alien shouted, coming Joseph's way. "Do you know what?" He began "I'm going have some fun" He turned to face the alien. "Your very cocky aren't you, little earthling the queen can deal with you" "I don't think so!" "Bring it on earthly scum" before I continue let me just point out something. This alien had no idea of the absolutely worst mistake she could make. "I can fight you with gun if you want to go easy mode" The alien dropped the gun it was holding "You want to go ultra nightmare mode your choice" Joseph held up his fists. "Wait are you trying to reference Doom?" She asked. "How do you know what Doom is?" Joseph asked. "Our leader has it on their Xbox" She replied. He began to think about that. Their queen must be a human, But who would do that? Throw away their life to be an alien goddess. "Wait what were we doing again?" Joseph asked her. She ran towards him clenching her fists. " ah yeah I remember now" he ran and slid across the hall knocking her over. "Unlucky I guess" Joseph said going to pick up the gun. "I may be a hero but you idiots are a threat to my planet along with my family" Joseph shot the alien dead. "Rest in piece" He muttered under his breath. He bent down and grabbed the key card in her left pocket. Joseph began to feel some remorse "Now I actually feel bad I mean she probably had a family kids a husband a dad a... mam" He turned towards the narrow hallway. He looked at the gun. "No need for guilt now" Joseph began to walk down the hall he was glancing towards. Every alien he came across was murdered there was no time for any mercy in his eyes. Kill or be killed. He eventually found a map lying dormant on the wall. Yanking it off the wall he read, "Prisoner item lock up" he became shocked "FLOOR FIFTY WHAT THE" He glanced back and calmed down to what he read next "Oh, there's an elevator" "Don't mind if I do" He began to walk over to the elevator. He passed quite a few aliens on the way and well lets just say they also aren't getting summer vacation. Arriving at the elevator an access panel was displayed. He pulled out the key card he had collected and swiped it on the keypad. The elevator arrived, however with it was ten alien guards. "Now this, this is what I call fun." He said looking at them like balloons he was about to pop. He ducked swiftly as they began to open fire, he wacked two in whatever the aliens in their version of nuts or so he thought they were I mean it did cause them pain, he held his gun over his shoulder and shot one in the head. After the 7 of them realised what he was doing they aimed towards the floor. He swiped 3 to the floor swinging his foot around. He grabbed another gun. Now with 2 guns he shot two more, rolled out the way and shot the last two. "Well that was easy" "As they say, aim for the head" "Or the nuts" Joseph said to himself immaturely as he began to laugh. He got in the elevator and pressed the button displayed as F50. The elevator began to rise. However as quick as it rose the quicker it halted. "EMERGENCY BROADCAST!" A voice shouted through the speaker it was awfully familiar too Joseph. "The prisoner has escaped" "If you find him bring him to me" "The low life is currently in the elevator" "Joseph I'm guessing you don't remember me but you will soon you selfish twat" "I have heard that voice somewhere, surely?" He began to ponder this for the rest of the elevator ride as it booted up again. The elevator came to its stop. The doors opened. surprisingly no one stood in front of the doors. no sign of life. It was awfully chilling. "Ok I need to get my badge, my gadget bag and get the fuck out of this hell risen dump." Joseph snuck his way to the prisoner item lock up. "Dieser mensch ist so ein Bengel, ich schwöre bei Gott" The aliens said as they walked down the halls. "Ok that's just gibberish" Joseph said as he watched the aliens. He looked across the corridor. The item archive was there. He put his hand in his pocket to get something "Here it is the key card, just got to swipe and.. Kablamo!" The door swung open revealing a large room filled with everything you could ever want. Of course Joseph didn't give a damn and instantly began looking for his stuff. There it was, a draw that read the Arcane Angler. He opened the draw and raided it, he put his badge back on. He twisted the badge and activated his suit. Joseph built this suit to be suitable for him. His suit is based off of an angler fish. however the lantern is not there. The reason it isn't see able is because the back of the helmet forms into it and this acts as a staff to use magic. You see his sister being a part of the Origin five went on adventures and learned the skill of magic. Joseph became interested in this subject and asked to be taught magic. This became the twos bonding time every day after school from 8 years old to 12 years old. He loved it. until he broke his sisters trust. He hasn't seen her or talked to her since.. His mistakes don't matter to him anymore. He has made many. Especially the one he made a year ago. He could never take it back. It haunted him like an irremovable scar he couldn't heal. he clicked his helmet button extending a staff from his head. He closed his eyes "Ajifteca!" He shouted. Nothing happened. "That was the spell" He stated confused. The doors abruptly shut down and began emitting a purple field. The floor opened revealing high tech portal devices. "You have fell right into my grasp" the speakers came on. "Your about to be outnumbered!" The familiar voice gloated. "Do I know you?" He questioned. "Typical Joseph" The voice was disappointed. "What have I done to you?" He asked. "Do you remember the friend groups fight of 22?" "Yeah I can't recall that?" He replied. "You will later" She said with a chilling tone. "Get him you assholes!" The portal opened revealing some demonic abominations. "I guess we are doing this again" He said. He began punching the aliens coming his way. She was right there was too many. If he kept going like this he would be defeated. He got his alien pistol he had grabbed earlier. He began to shoot and punch at the same time. He felt a strange sensation in his back. He toppled to the ground. he caught a glimpse of the creatures fading to pixels. "You scamming son of a.." His words faded as he fell asleep. The darkness did not last long as he awoke very suddenly strapped to a hard wood chair. "Well Joseph, finally awake are you" The queen said. "I knew I've heard that voice" He spat out. "If it isn't Lilly Mae." Joseph Said "Lilly!" She said furiously. "Not Lilly Mae!" "honestly man!" "Your name is literally spelt Lilly Mae" Her expression erupted like volcano. "Anyway you are not actually here" She said "What the hell are you on?" He asked. "We waited for you to sleep so we could drag you here using the nightmare device" "Why may I ask?" "Because you are great at making new technology and I hate you so I am making you a prisoner on this ship" He began to laugh maniacally. "Why are you laughing like a drug abuser?" She Questioned "You think I'm going to do that" He replied. "if you don't come I will eradicate every single human on Earth" She threatened. "Oh please if I got a penny for every useless threat a villain gives me guess what?" "I'D BE RICH MOTHERFUCKER!!!" "Honestly pathetic" She looked at him. "You couldn't save your poor mam and aunt could you?" "You know that you drive everyone that cares for you too resent you like your siblings, me and Chris" "Your dad died in hospital right in front off you" He looked down and closed his eyes. "your right" He exclaimed. "Wait what?" She asked in shock. "I've lost all will to show I care" He said. "I get lost trying to fix the past and I don't focus on the present " "but truth be told I do care deep down" Joseph said. "Yeah ok so?" She retorted "Do I look like I care?" "You have till September sixth to be on this ship or Earth is done" Lilly said as she pulled out a gun. "I'll be seeing you soon" She pulled the trigger.
