Ravus's jaw dropped as soon as they reached their destination. Not because he believed she was Cinderella, such a preposterous statement, but because he had encountered the young lady, that said morning.

Ella kindly handed out their sandwiches, "I made everyone two each," she smiled softly, "And with the help of Prompto, he informed me of your tastes, so please don't worry."

A small "Hey" escaped Noctis lips, which caught the attention of the others. Ella looked up, her eyes widened in surprise.

It was the cold man Ella met when she left her room.

"Good afternoon, your majesty," Ella smiled softly handing him his sandwich, "You looked quite marvelous, sparring with your friend."

"Friend?!" Ravus and Noctis cried in sync. How could the two possibly be friends?

"It would be polite of you to thank Miss Ella..." Ignis pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed softly, "And can we all just calm down and eat in peace for once?"

Ella quietly fished for the next sandwich. She smiled softly and handed it over to Ravus, "I'm terribly sorry for bumping into you, this morning," Her blue eyes gazed at his grand presence, not one bit frightened, "My name is Ella, but everyone calls me Cinderella."

Ravus' eyes widened in surprise as he turned to Noctis, in rage, ignoring the sandwich and grasping the collar of his dark shirt.

Just who did he think he was, to fool around the former Prince of Tenebrae? "Enough jokes, and I'm personally warning you, boy."

"H-hey! Let's calm down, like we said!"

"Boys, will you stop?"

"HEY!"

"Enough!" Ella was the one to gain all of their attention, gently pushing the two away from each other.

She looked at the rest of them, and sighed softly, "I apologise for my tone," Ella begged for their forgiveness.

Not once had she ever had to raise her voice at others, it was very unlike her.

"Please, let us eat in peace," Her eyes pleaded for a quiet get-together, "We can discuss whatever is needed to be elaborated later."

There was a small silence that took over the training field. After the long and vast explanation that Ignis kindly informed Ella about, she had no idea how to react.

"So," She furrowed her brows in thought, "What you're saying is I'm in a different world?"

"So it would seem," He looked at her, a sense of sorry filled his chest, "We're terribly sorry about the situation."

"Yeah! We're sorry for causing a ruckus too," Prompto elbowed, the dark-haired prince, "Right, Noct?"

Noctis still seemed heated about his encounter with Ravus. "Right... Sorry, Miss..."

Ella smiled softly, "It's fine, but please, do not fight! You all seem to have wonderful friendships."

Ravus scoffed softly and mumbled, "You've got it all wrong, girl." his prosthetic arm was shown in more clarity, as he crossed his arms, "The Prince and I are no companions."

Ella decided to challenge him, in a gentle way, of course.

"And why is that?" She glanced at Ravus, "You seemed to be having fun when you were sparring with the Prince."

"Excuse me?" Ravus raised an eyebrow and was taken aback.

"You can't possibly allow yourself to be around someone you dislike," She handed his sandwich directly, "You would normally avoid that said person, wouldn't you?"

"You're one to talk, girl," Ravus' heterocromatic eyes pierced into the sandwich and looked back up at Ella, "You say all of that, but you ended up staying with your step-family."

There's always a line and you're not supposed to cross it.

"I beg your pardon-"

"You let them walk all over you like a expensive rug," He picked up and apple and studied it carefully in his prosthetic hand, "Even though you are the one who inherited everything after your father's passing."

"How did you-"

"You had the power to live like a princess, yet you chose to be weak and used like an old cloth," He snarled, finishing his final statement, "Therefore, you should keep your comments to yourself and think before you speak, girl."

Ella felt a knife stab her heart of gold, her tear ducts filling the rim of her bottom eyelids.

She smiled weakly and continued to push his sandwich towards Ravus, until he took it and placed it on the blanket, without inspecting it whatsoever.

She remained silent and stood up, "I wish to pick flowers for his majesty, the King. I won't go too far."

"Noctis, I think you should go with her." Ignis advised the Prince, since his hands were empty and clean.

"Right..." Noctis felt the awkwardness in the air, which sickened the life out of the atmosphere, like it was suffocating the lot, "Come, this way, Ellie."

Cinderella had a thing for flowers and nature. How every little bloom and blossom would inspire her to cherish the beauty around her.

She looked around curiously, picking the flowers with a keen hand, to make sure the flowers we perfect for his majesty, the king.

Meanwhile, Prince Noctis was concerned for the girl. He was always a softie at heart, even if he'd never tend to show it.

Whilst he watched her gracefully pluck at the flowerbeds, Noctis wished to know what was whizzing through her mind.

He broke the peaceful silence, selfishly wanting to assure the girl that she was most certainly not at fault.

"Miss Ella," He crouched beside her, "You really don't have to do this for my Father."

She smiled softly and continued to position the petals perfectly in her colourful bouquet, "I'm afraid I must decline, your highness. You and your Father have given me a great kindness."

Noctis smiled softly and crouched down to her level, watching her pluck each bud, delicately.

He sighed softly and copied her movements, collecting a cluster of flowers.

Ella smiled softly and watched him, "They're very pretty, these flowers."

"Indeed, my wife loves them."

"You're married?"

Noctis' smile grew slightly as he chuckled softly, "Yes. Her name is Luna, Lunafreya."

Cinderella grinned softly and plucked a sturdy piece of dry straw and tied up her bouquet, "What a beautiful name, your highness. I'm sure she'll love the flowers you've picked for her."

"I hope so," He sighed softly, tying his bouquet and gazing at each petal in awe, before lifting his eyes towards his face, "I wonder, may I ask you something personal?"

"Of course, your highness."

"Noctis, please," He chuckled softly, before taking a small breath, "How did you cope? Being all alone?"
