Simon's POV:

I leave her and find myself even more frustrated than before. 'How dare she not take me seriously. The fucking nerves of that bloody woman.' I think to myself as I walk down to my room, not wanting to go socialize with my team. I slam my door behind harder than I intended but nevertheless I lock it behind me before undressing and making my way to the bathroom. As I walk in a find the mirror staring back at me and take off my mask. 'The eye bags underneath my eyes are getting worse' I think to myself before turning my head to the shower and turning it on to cold. I step into the shower and rise off all while looking down at my feet. The same feet that carried me here from my grave, from the house of my dead family, from my past. I turn off the shower as I start to notice the pressure change, probably due to the time I've been in here. I throw on a pair of my boxers and a shirt. I take my dirty laundry I left on the floor and throw it in the hamper in the corner before throwing myself onto my bed. I close my eyes and pray for sleep to come faster, thankful it did but not without a price as a dream of how I met Man-Eater began in my head....

Simon's POV -

An alarm sound fills the void in my room, waking me from a deep sleep with haste. "Fucking hell,"I say as I jump out of bed, still groggy and exhausted and stumble over my feet to get to the bathroom. I take a piss, brush my teeth, comb back my bed head, just getting ready for the long day ahead. I was told that we're getting a more advanced training due to our new rank, I'm quite excited to see what is in store.....especially with our new lieutenant. I haven't heard much about him, but I figure he's bound to be ruthless, right? A new day, a new challenge I suppose. I drag myself to my dresser on the other side of my room and begin getting dressed. I'll be sporting my green cargos with my black, short sleeve compression shirt and lastly my old beaten up military boots. 'I should really get a new pair but I don't have the time, Ugh' I think to myself as I lace them up. Considering that this is just training, I'll throw on my hip holster and call it good. I walk to my door while quickly glancing around the room for anything I've missed.....'Oh shit, almost forgot my picture' I rush to my bedside table and grab the picture I have of my family, I smile down at it and softly place it into my back pocket. I'm not sure why I do it, but I always keep a picture of my family on me at all times. I miss my mother most of all, even though she was absent most of my childhood it simply wasn't her fault. If it wasn't for that disgusting excuse for a father that I have, she would've been there. But let's not think about that to hard.

I walk down to the cafeteria to grab my breakfast, looks like eggs, sausage, beans, and toast is on the menu today. I grab a large portion on eggs and a piece of toast with beans on top. "Thank god for a classic Brit breakfast," I say to myself as I down my food. When I'm about finished my new team of sergeants emerge from the large metal doors. They grab their food and sit at the table with me.

"Sergeant Riley right?" One of them asks.

"Yes, and you?" I respond monotone like. I've never really had friends in the military, considering that this is my job, not show and tell.

"Sergeant Ross, this one beside me is Sergeant Bowie." He says while bumping shoulders with the man sitting next to him. "Are you excited to meet our new lieutenant? I heard she's a monster." The adds while chuckling at his own words. I stop dead in my tracks 'She? Our new lieutenant is a woman? This should be good'

"Our new Lieutenant is a woman?" I say with curiosity filling my eyes.

" Yeah mate, she's an absolute legend in the SAS. She's done some crazy shit, but I guess that's why she has her legendary callsign."
