Welcome back! Sorry it's taken me this long to get back to this series, my job and college has taken up all my time, but I'm back for round 3! I'm taking this a different route than the other two books. It'll still have comedy and humor, but it will get serious and have mature themes. Not sexual themes, but more like reality wiping the floor with everyone and their self-confidence.

Have fun!

______________ ___ __ _

Times change, and the rug gets violently ripped out from under those who become content with what they have... and that's exactly what has happened to those living in the Troll Village.

No longer are they safe in their homes. No longer are they protected from those who want to eat them..

Like sheep whose Shepard has left them to the field unsupervised.

Left to the wolves.

______________ ___ __ _

Three Trolls are gone from this world, three Trolls too young. Too naïve. Three of Poppy's closest friends.

Biggie, Smidge, and Legsly.

They wandered into the forest, completely unaware of the dangers. Why would they? There hasn't been danger in these parts in years, so why would they need to be cautious?

... They should have been. They were no match for a hungry Growl-Beast.

A day later, the only thing the search party found was shreds of various colored cloth and pink glittery blood smeared across the once vibrant green grass. Staining the ground with soiled innocence that reeked of fear and anguish.

Branch was the one leading the search, and he never quite recovered from the sight... none of them did.

The bright peaceful day did not match the sorrow  felt across the village that day.

The survivalist blamed himself for their deaths. No one else seemed to, and that angered him. It was his job to set up traps! It was his job to keep them calibrated! It was his job to keep track of the local wildlife that wandered too close to their village's borders. It was his job to keep them all safe!

And he failed.

The thoughts haunt him day in and day out. If he hadn't been hiding away in his bunker trying to figure out where (Y/n) went, if he hadn't lowered his guard and let Poppy drag him off to parties and celebrations, if he hadn't relied so much on (Y/n) to scare off predators, if he had used his brain for even a second he would have realized this was a very probable outcome, if if if if if if if if-

Maybe everyone would still be alive... maybe he wouldn't be haunted by the sight of blood... maybe he wouldn't remember things he blocked out so long ago. Maybe he wouldn't have locked himself away in his bunker in self exile. Maybe he wouldn't be riddled with guilt... maybe he would have been there to save everyone-
