i tapped the side of the colorful glasses to magnify my vision, screwing the bolts on tighter. my robo assistant miki was passing me tools and directing me as i frustratedly put majesty together.

this had to be my 10th draft of model m27kq9. i was tired of spending my life as a lonely scientist whose grown mad over the years so i decided to build my own companion.

i'm responsible for the flying cars, the time machine (which has been recalled since its release), and the mini flying robot friend (only sold to some of the most important people in the world, me being the only 'normal' person with one).

i guess you could call me an engineer but my specialty lies with anything scientific so it doesn't matter. being in this lab all day made me cold, irritable, but mostly lonely.

i had never been able to get and keep a woman who isn't in it for my money so i thought 'hey, if i have a robot girlfriend she has nothing to really live for but me'.

majesty had been a work-in-progress for about 3 years now and i've spent well over $250,000 trying to get all the right equipment so she could be the most advanced ai wired lover in the world.

the process is always nerve-wrecking. i'll make it all the way to the end of production just for a wire to be out of place or her motherboard not responding well with my processor.

i want this prototype to be as humanly as possible, without any complications. but, today should be the day. this version took about two months and i've been making sure to consider all mistakes in the past so she should be perfect.

"system overload. stand back. stand back." miki's monotone voice sounded as i pressed the tweezers on the small metal plate to ignite some kind of spark.
