She saw this coming from a mile away. The whole group did. When the lights started to dim Miyu looked up at the screen still holding Mason's hand fiddling with the cold silver rings in darkness. The opening scene began to play and she watched the movie everyone worked so hard to create.

Eventually she stopped playing with his rings and just kept her hand under his. He didn't dare to move it either. This boy, who has had a crush on her since the moment he saw her in the chemistry read, the boy who tried to push away his feelings when she was taken, the boy who gained them all back the moment she became single again.

This boy who blushed at every sentence with his name from her mouth. The boy who can tell she walks into the room by the scent of her vanilla bean perfume. The boy who watches her hair sit on her shoulders like a beautiful dazzling black water fall.

He sees her little freckles that glaze over her face during the summer, he sees her lashes flutter everytime she blinks. He can predict what she will say and do exactly based on the situation. He's memorized her school schedule of that year, her favorite color, food, place, artist, song, season, view, time of day, flower, animal, desert, Dave and Buster's prize, sport, outfit, clothes, shoes.

He knows everything about this girl. He's memorized every feature every action, every little nose scrunch she does out of fear or her little jumps and clappy hands when she gets excited. He knows her.

He also knows that she'll never know him like that. He likes her so much that even the slightest touch will make his heart flutter. If he says anything people will say it's girly. But he doesn't care. Cause she doesn't care. So neither does he.

He'll talk about her to her face but she doesn't know who he talks about. She'll talk about him to her face but he doesn't know who she's talking about.

The common trope of miscommunication is what the pair seems to be struggling with. The two watched the movie and watched the two's class scene.

"We look so small." Miyu whispered into his ear. "You look so pretty now- today-sorry- i mean you did before- but we gr- grew up- and you look pretty. You look pretty then and now." he said taking a sigh at the end.

"Thank you Mason. You look good too." she said leaning her head on his shoulder getting more comfortable. "Can I?" she looked up at him from his shoulder. "I mean you already are.." Mason said back. "Thank you." she smiled and got comfortable again.

The whole theater was in silence watching the movie. Miyu couldn't help but smile because she was so proud of herself and everyone involved in this.

"Why are you smiling I'm literally dying." mason whispered. "What. Sorry, it's funny." she smiled at him even more. "Just wait 'till you die in a movie. We'll see who's laughing then." he says shoving her shoulder.

"Ok buddy." she said. Then they went back to watching the movie. She saw that Finney was found and then she knew what scene was coming up. The scene.

The two looking back on it seemed so awkward, but it was fitting for the scene. "We're so awkward." she says. "They're in middle school. It's gonna be awkward." mason said back.

The whole group was watching this scene knowing what happened. When the thing happened, the whole group went "Oooooohhh" and the two just rolled they're eyes and sunk down into there chairs.

"I was so surprised when you kissed me." mason smiled at the girl. "I mean you can see it on my face. I never imagined my first kiss would be with a pretty girl like you." he added. Miyu got a blush on her face and then realized what he said. "Wait. I was your first kiss?" she asked.
