Chapter 1- A Kingdom of Merfolk?
Meeting Sun!

A warm glow illuminates the kingdom with beautiful assortment of lights. The loud sounds of hustle and bustle fill the streets as people wondered and shopped for necessities...

A yellow tail quickly swam through the crowds, leaving people confused from the suddenness of the fast mermaid..
▸■◂
The kingdom was small, but still thriving. Even though mermaids were an uncommon species, here they were, safe from predators and the humans above..

The merman finally made it to the palace walls.. Making sure nobody saw him and sneaked inside... He crept through the castle's coral garden..
Making sure to not ruin the beautiful display of colorful purples, pinks and blues, he would climb up the castle walls, reaching the window.. He pulled himself up to meet face to face with the king... Or well
His father.
"What have I told you about going outside the kingdom walls?" The king said sternly.. He had told his son multiple times how unsafe it is away from the kingdom..
"I was uh-....." He couldn't think of a lie.. "Sorry father.."
"Go get dressed, Sun... In something nicer rather than..." He looked him up and down.. "Whatever that is..... Another kingdom is joining us for dinner."
"But father— I like these clothes, they aren't so ba-... Okay so maybee they are dirty but that doesn't mean they are bad!" Sun complained, he never found any of the fancy clothing his father chose nice, he thought they were too much cloth.
The king would let out a sigh. "Listen, if you ruin this dinner you will be grounded for a month. This is very important."
"You're so unfair!" Sun pushed his father out his room. Sun would sigh then place down a small bag.
Shells, a bag full of beautiful shiny shells that go from all the colors of the rainbow. Their radiant light shines against the pale yellow coral walls..
"New ones to my collection.." Sun would smile, adding them to his shelf.
"Beautiful!"

This is my first story so far. Im not an amazing writer but this is chapter one!
Not all chapters will be this short. Just the first two to introduce the characters and then they will be longer for enjoyment! ❤️
