Special episode- Turnover of events

Katherine opened the box. It was a necklace with a half heart, with a magnet inscribed in it. She was surprised when she saw it

"Jake? This a couple necklace...Couples wear it, why did you gift it to me?"

"No, no uhh Kat, don't get me wrong. You can think it as a friendship necklace or a commitment necklace, your wish"

"Oh then it's fine...I love this gift...thank you so much"

They both wore the necklace and started to explore the mall. They drank cold coffee, did a little bit of shopping and then watched a horror movie, where Katherine was scared by the Jump scare and she hold Jake's hand tightly

"Hahhaha, Kat...are you actually scared? Wow"

Little did he know, That Katherine watched all the horror movies that existed in this world and did not flinched a bit. She held Jakes's hand only because she wanted to.

"Yeah Jake, it's kind of scary"

"Don't worry, I am here"

The movies were over...Now it was time to go back to home. But Katherine insisted to go to park...how could Jake even deny it. They went to the park, it was 4Pm and they were watching the sunset together.

"Thank you so much Jake...You made my birthday even more special, I will remember this for the whole year, or maybe life" she said while holding the necklace.

"I am really glad I could make your day worth it Kat"

"only if she knew how much I like her and I could give her anything she wants" Jake thought

"Jake, uhm...I think we should go home...it's pretty late"

"i don't want to leave you"  Jake said in his mind

"Sure, Kat let's go home"

They went back home. Jake got out from the car and opened the door for Katherine. Katherine got down and turned to Jake

"Jake, you lied to me"

"huh? about what?

"Jake you said that you melt when you see my eyes. You were with me the whole day today, I see you are completely fine"

Jake's jaw dropped. He was in complete utter shock. Before he could even process anything Katherine ran to her home as fast as she could

When Katherine reached home, even she was surprised...about what she had just said. her heart was beating very fast. She was blushing like crazy and she went to her room

Vanessa just woke up from her nap, blushing. Again, Again she dreamt about Jake...she has been getting dreams about Jake since past few days

"Ughh why do I keep getting dreams of that Jake..whats wrong with me?"

She went to open her window, then she saw Jake below her house, with his car. She blushed

"Why is that dumbass here?" Who cares...AND WHY DO I KEEP BLUSHING AHH"

She opened Instagram and there were a few follow requests of some random guys that like her, she ignored all of that and went straight to Jake's profile to see if he had posted anything

"Wait a minute...what is wrong with me? why do I keep opening his account, Do I really care about Jake?"

She was scrolling through her Instagram reels and came across a reel

"five facts that you have a crush without even knowing you have it"

"Huh, another dumb reel"

But instead of scrolling, she stayed

"1. You dream about him frequently

2. You always think about him unconsciously

3. You stalk him

4. You go through his photos

5. You blush whenever you think about him"

"This is just a coincidence, r-right? I-I could never...L-Like him"

She looked at her study table, where there was a photo of her, Jake and Jasmine...where Jake put his shoulders around Vanessa's

Meanwhile in Katherine's room:

"Hello dad. yeah yeah I am fine Dad"

"Kat did Mary even wished you Birthday? How did you celebrate it? Did you made any friends? Are you-"

"DAD! Dad...chill, yes mom did wished me birthday, and...I celebrated  it with my first friend, Jake..he's very special to me"

"Tell me more about him honey"

"Dad, huh...I mean...he makes me feel the emotions I have never felt before...he makes me smile, he makes me laugh..he makes me-"

"I see, I see...my little girl has a crush on someone right?

"........yes dad...."

"Hmm, I don't know how to feel...but I wish you the very best, Kat...and keep me updating"

Meanwhile in Vanessa's room:

"Sup Jazz"

"Nothing much V , what about you?"

"you know..I think I have a crush on someone"

"a crush? oh who's that lucky boy?

"your brother"

"Oh my brother....wait MY BROTHER?!?! JAKE??!! EW!!"

"What EW? He's hot"

"He's a b*tch. You know I hate him. HE IS GONNA-"

"Yeah yeah I know, he's gonna take up Riordan Empire, your dad loves him more than you blah blah...but honestly..i couldn't care less about it. I think I love him"

"Vanessa are you drunk?"

"What? NO?"

"No, NO , I-YOU-JAKE-UH-AHH- Let me process"

Jasmine cut the call

"I like him" said Vanessa to herself

"I like him" said Katherine to herself

Author's Note : This is a special episode and this is the plot of the story. I had to ditch my work to write this episode :} so I really hope you like it and I am listening all suggestions and feedback. Stay tuned to know what happens next and who Jake chooses?
