An Unknown Horizon

CHAPTER 2

"Whoa, whoa! I'm not here to fight, I swear!" A young man comes out of the tree, jumping off the branch he was on. He was bald and had a blue arrow on his head, a tattoo perhaps? Not something to be thinking about right now.

Ei narrows her eyes at the young man, he seemed to be truthful to his words but that doesn't let her guard down easily, but she does put her weapon down as a sign of trusting the boy to not harm them, not like he could, he seemed to be visionless and had no fighting spirit in him

The others look at Ei who had put her weapon down and dispersed it, so they all had done the same. If Ei trusts the boys word not to harm them, they should too, although they didn't drop their guard still.

Aang took a step back and let out a small sigh of relief. "I'm so glad you're not hostile! Most people I meet aren't as welcoming as, well I mean atleast you didn't try to kill me." He looked at the group one by one, admiring their unique appearances and the colors of their clothes. They all raise one brow at the boy saying that most aren't as welcoming to him, what could he have meant by that? It doesn't seem like the boy had anything bad about him

"Why don't we introduce ourselves?" Aang said with a friendly smile. "I'm Aang and I have some friends just up ahead, I can introduce you to them if you'd like!" Aang paused for a moment then spoke again, "Ah! Sorry, what are your names? That was rude of me to not have asked you guys your names first.."

The multicoloured group looked at eachother and gave a nod and introduced themselves.

Aang smiled widely. "Well, it just so happens that we're travelling to the city of Ba Sing Se right now. If you'd like to tag along, we can show you the way."

There was a collective sigh of relief from the group as they agreed to join Aang and his friends on their journey. They went up ahead of the forest and they laid eyes on the giant furry creature in front of them, it's not like they've never seen a similar creature, I mean Sumeru has a ton of these called Sumpter Beasts. But they never expected to see one that's huge, although the Sumpter Beasts were fairly okay in size this one was much bigger than what they've seen in Sumeru.

They shake their heads, they need to focus on getting out of this forest and into a city.

"Aang! There you are, you all had us worried! Where have you been?!" A girl in blue robes rushes towards Aang and gives him a hug, resulting in the boy blushing.

"You didn't have me worried at all, I knew you'd find your way back, twinkle toes. Though that didn't seem to reassure sweetness here." A child with clouded paled out green eyes speaks as she casually goes to the duo.

"Aang! Where the heck have you been!? We've been looking everywhere for you!" Another teen in blue robes yells out from behind the green robe wearing little girl.

"Guys, guys! Don't worry I was just in the forest. Look who I-" Aang gets cut off as the teen boy in blue robes stomps over to them

"Who are these people you brought!?"

"I was just getting to that.. Anyways, these people are Zhongli, Ei, Venti, Nahida and Furina!" Aang says as he rolls his eyes at the other boy who just interrupted him, then starts to introduce the group he brought from the forest.

"Aang. Why did you bring a bunch of strangers from the forest with you?" The blue robed girl asks in a scolding tone.

"Yeah, twinkle toes, why'd ya bring some randos with you?"

Venti was about to interject then Zhongli interrupted him, which Venti gave a stern glare at.

"We are not here to harm you. We are only here because your friend here has offered to let us join you all on your journey to Ba Sing Se." Zhongli says in a not threatening tone (lol idk)

"Aang! How could you bring strangers and not inform us that they were gonna travel with us!? How is Appa gonna carry all of us!?" The teen boy says as he waves his arms around the air.

"I'm with snoozles on this one, how's Appa gonna carry all of us with some more added weight?" The blind girl says.

"Hey can you guys tell us your names first, except Aang since we already know his, I'm sick of calling you all 'the teen' in my head.." Venti says as he gives a pleading look at the group.

The blue robed kids stay silent while the blind girl stands there contemplating, then she speaks up, "The names Toph, don't forget it."

The teen girl goes up next with reluctance, "My name is Katara, pleasure to meet you." She introduces the, Archons look at the teen boy next, expecting him to introduce himself.

"Nuh uh! I'm not introducing myself to these people, and what the heck Katara, why'd you tell them your name!?" The teen says as if a protective mother hen

Katara sighs and then introduces the teen boy, Sokka, who in turn lets out an indignant squawk.

"Alright, oh and this is Appa! Our flying bison!" Aang says happily as he went over to Appa to pet him.

"Aha! Now that we've gotten all these introductions out of the way, let's not waste any more time. Ba Sing Se is waiting for us, so let's get a move on, shall we?" Furina says as she puts a hand on her hip, giving out a grin

"I concur with Furina's sentiments. We do not have the luxury of time to tarry, and must make haste to Ba Sing Se if we are to reach it before dark. Let us continue on our journey, then." Ei says with steadiness.

Toph lets out a groan at the thought of going to Ba Sing Se, Nahida gives toph a small curious look before shaking her head and looking forward to the path of Ba Sing Se.

Sokka gives out a hmph then goes to the big beast, then suddenly a flying lemur lands on the teens shoulder which makes Sokka squawk again then he starts scolding the animal, threatening to eat it even.

Venti giggles at Sokka and the lemur's interaction then skips to the furry beast, he is followed by Nahida then Furina and then the rest.

I guess this is the start of their new journey in an unfamiliar world.

Now that introductions are out of the way what do you think should be next? Because I havent got a clue on what to do for next chapter other than them getting met by Joo Dee.
