12 To Meet The King

I dont like acting weak and going along with what Mary wants but I know this story. I know just how strong Aqua actually is even if he hides his marks to make other beasts underestimate him. Even with Mason as a 3 stripe and Tyson as a 4 stripe Mary has both her Tiger and Peacock as 3 stripes and her Merman Aqua is a 5 stripe so if I tried to go against her I would just be putting myself, my cubs and my mates in danger 'once I'm mated to the fox king I wont be so easy to push around so I just need to be patient till then'

As we reach the gates of the palace the guards look us over "State your name and business" They said in a very serious and official sounding voice

Mary finally releases the grip she has on my arm and steps forward "I am Mary the Saintess and I'm here to visit the palace" Mary says full of confidence 

The guards look at each other confused as I take this moment to move back to my mates and Sanji 'I dont want to be any part of whatever she is trying to do'

"Our apologise Saintess but if you have not been invited you are not allowed in" says the guards as I see Marys expression sour 

"I am the Saintess so I am allowed anywhere I please it was not a problem with the peacock palace so why do you people not know how to do your job!?" Mary says in a huff crossing her arms over her chest

The guards bow low in submission but make no move to let Mary inside "Tho I understand your frustration we have been given orders that only those who the fox king invited are allowed in" the first guard says before the second suddenly gets launched into the air hitting a wall on his way down and the other guard goes into a defensive stance letting out a noise that seems to set the palace on high alert and glaring at Aqua who was standing brushing off his hands with a large satisfied smirk spread across his lips  

"Who are you to tell my mate what to do she was pronounced Saintess so she is a blessing to our city and you will do well to remember that" Braxton says while stepping next to Aqua getting into a battle stance as more and more guards show up to surround the group 

"Who is causing trouble in my home?" The fox king says as he steps outside the entranceway as he scans the area his eyes lingering briefly on me before landing on Aqua and Braxton who are in the middle of a glaring match with the group of guards 

"I will ask again why have you come here and caused a disturbance in my home?" The fox king repeats almost growling at them this time as tensions rise and all eyes fall on him

Aqua glares directly at the fox king as he says "Your guards were rude to Mary" 

Braxton quickly adds "Mary is the Saintess as agreed upon by both you and my father but your guards refused to show her the respect she deserves" 

Mary runs up to the fox king wrapping her arms around his neck "I was so scared those mean guards I dont know why they hate me so much" she says she she starts to weep 

The fox kind almost immediately throws Mary off letting her fall to the ground making her mates growl at the king in fury 

"I have no interest in you so do not touch me as you like also yes Mary is the Saintess and she can visit the peacock palace as she likes as she is your mate but I have no reason to let her come and go from my home as she likes" The fox king says in a voice of disgust as he attempts to brush off any trance of her from his body

Mary turns to me grabbing my arm and shouting "Why dont you stick up for me?! I'm the saintess so I'm the best of all the females here and that means the fox king should be my mate dont you think?" she says with eyes pleading with me to help her 

I shake her off before walking over to the fox king 'I really really hope he likes me cuz otherwise I'm about to be real embarrassed with the move I'm about to pull' I think as I force my feet forwards cupping the fox kings face with my hands and smiling up at him "I missed you. Did you miss me?" 

I brace myself for a rejection as Mary had but instead I feel warm arms wrap around my waist and pull me into a tight embrace as the fox king nuzzles his head into the crook of my neck "Of course I missed you I thought about you every day my sweet" The fox king says with honeyed words 

I feel my face flush as the earlier tension in my body disappeared I almost forget their were other here 

The nice moment is broken by a yell from Mary "How could you steal him from me you must have known I  liked him first!" She yells as fresh tears stream down her face and she glares daggers at me 

The fox king steps in from of me to block me from Marys view "I decided to court Rose the first day I met her so you never had me in the first place" The fox king says before adding "I will ask you to leave now before I have to kick you out using force"

After speaking to the others he lifted me into his arm princess style and walked us inside as my mates followed leaving the very loud group shouting at the entrance 

"You shouldn't associate with that female she will only cause you trouble" The fox king says scrunching up his nose in distaste 

"It was not my intention but she seems to keep following me around. I actually left my first village to get away from her" I say sighing as I think about all the trouble she caused while fighting with the other females in that village 

The fox king kisses my cheek before nodding "Good I was sure my future female knows better then to hang around rude females like her" the fox king says as he lets out a chuckle 

"If you chose to accept me this will be your home from now on so let me give you a tour" the fox king says walking me towards a large courtyard 

"Thank you Fox King I would love a tour I actually wanted to look around the last time I was here but didn't think I would be allowed" I say looking around and admiring the luscious grass and flowers they have growing as a large willow tree stands tall in the middle 'I can already imaging my sweet cubs running around and growing up here' I think smiling to myself

I get lost in my own little world before hearing the gruff sound of the fox king clearing his throat to get my attention "If you would not mind I would prefer you to call me by name rather then fox king every time you address me" He says with a laugh 

"Ahh I see.. then Lucus? are you sure that is ok?" I say with slight uncertainty as I look up to spot Lucus grinning from ear to ear 

"That is perfect my queen" Lucus says as I feel my face heat up slightly "Is my little queen perhaps getting a little shy?" Lucus says with a cheeky grin on his face "How about we finish the tour? I would love to see the rest of the palace" I say doing my very best to change the subject

The rest of the tour was just as amazing as the beginning their were over 20 room just for the guards and a large banquette hall maybe even large enough to fit half the city inside and their were multiple areas inside with fire pits and hides that I can only assume are for if they need to host a large event in cold season 'I think I remember Mary attending an event like that in cold season where the kings shared wine and cooked meats with the females'. After seeing the banquet hall I was taken to the treasury that was almost bursting with crystals even some of the rare colours were their. As I was admiring the glittering mountain Lucas said I can use it to buy anything I wish as long as we still have the funds to pay the guards and have a reserve to help repair the damages the cold season ends up causing.  

Last but not least was the bedroom it was a very large room with a huge hide bed that made my eyes feel like they were going to pop out of my head like in those old cartoons it was so big I'm sure it could fit at least 15 people and as Lucas set me down I notice Mason and Tyson bowing before excusing themselves and I immediately got the hint...
