Chapter 8: Spark On The Wire

Third Person POV

Arctic, Bort, and Diamond looked up at the sky as a Lunarian ship loomed over them. The three were all ready to fight back as Arctic managed to compose himself. The three watched as it slowly flew over them and was heading straight towards the school.

Bort: They ignored us?... Dia and that waste of space are right here, but...

Diamond then pointed his broken arm toward the ship as it had an object on board that gleamed with the sunlight. Arctic was once more flash banged

Arctic: ACK! mY EyEs!

Diamond: What is that?... that's too big to be a halo. They're right above the school though, so I'm sure that master will deal with them.

Arctic: Yeah... phos went to Sensei so uh... uh...wouldn't Phos have already been out here if Sensei was awake... oh noes.

Diamond: He could be asleep right now?!

Bort: This... is bad!

Bort and Dia quickly started running back to the school, trailing the ship as Dia grabbed Arctic by the back of his coat and started dragging him while running at blazing speeds.

Arctic: THIS IS NOT PRACTICAL!!

During this, Arctic was flailing around until after a few minutes Dia came to a stop as the Lunarian ship seemed to have dropped a giant shell onto the school. As it almost crashed and crushed the two gems Jade and Euclase.

Diamond: Jade! Euc! Above You!

Diamond yelled as the Lunarian ship was way up in the sky, almost stalking the area where Sensei was.

Jade: When did They get up there?!

As soon as Jade started questioning the situation, Bort instantly jumped toward the platform as Arctic followed behind with his now reacquired Sickle and he tossed it upward and started climbing the school to the ship.

Jade: Bortz's here, huh? Guess that's taken care of then.

So enough, with a determined look, Dia launched upward and leaped toward the Lunarian ship as well to help. Dia leaped into the clouded area as Bortz rushed ahead while Arctic was nowhere in sight.

Bort: Stand Back.

Arrows and spears rushed towards Dia but didn't hit him as Bort blocked them all. Dia landed on the platform as Bort continued to slice through all the projectiles tossed at him.

Diamond: But there must be something I can...

Bort: I'll tell you what you can do...

Bort then jumped toward the large Lunarian in the middle and went for the final blow.

Bort: Nothing.

He then slashed at the Lunarian only for it to be chained up by a familiar Merc and crushed by a tightening chain as Bort crashed into the ground.

Arctic: That's for stealing my Machete!

Dia watched as Arctic stole Bortz's kill with no hesitation whatsoever.

Diamond: maybe... there is a chance...

Meanwhile back to Phos

Phos shockingly stumbled upon the large shell as Euclase and Jade were inspecting it as Euclase asked.

Euclase: Master Scholar, just who I was looking for.

Phos: What might you need?

Euclase: That there. Would you mind finding out what it is?
