Preferences!
For when he has a crush on you.

-you think he's subtle? perhaps, but there are some signs. his eyes focusing a little too hard on you, and you wonder if he is still paying attention. he is, but the way you look at him gets him carried away...

-poor man stares longingly, they way you talk catches his attention. it makes him want to just listen to you for hours, which is strange, because he isn't one for small talk. that's when he pauses, and his face goes blank as he realizes...damn...

-the man has zero clue on how to flirt, even if he did, it would be blunt and then he would proceed to not talk for like five hours.

-if you're shy, you're in the same boat, and that makes him feel a bit better. if you're his opposite and prefer to keep the conversation going, he will do his best with the limited responses and knowledge he knows about socializing.

-the team definitely knows, but you - oh, you oblivious human - have no idea. you two are hopeless, and even then he isn't sure if you feel the same.

-so he'll protect you from afar, if a bit too much...
