In the heart of New York City, Detective Olivia Benson sat at her desk in the Special Victims Unit, her mind consumed by the latest case file. Her wife, Elena, was due to stop by the precinct soon, bringing a much-needed break from the intensity of her work. Just as Olivia glanced at the clock, the familiar figure of her former partner, Elliot Stabler, entered the room.

"Olivia," Elliot's voice broke through the hum of activity in the bullpen.

Olivia's gaze lifted, her expression guarded. "Elliot... what are you doing here?"

Elliot's eyes searched hers, his voice filled with a mix of regret and determination. "I need to talk to you, Liv. Can we go somewhere private?"

Olivia hesitated, her instincts on high alert. "I'm busy, Elliot. What's this about?"

"It's important," Elliot insisted, his tone urgent.

Sighing, Olivia motioned for Elliot to follow her to an interrogation room. Once inside, she crossed her arms, waiting for him to speak.

"I know I disappeared without a trace," Elliot began, his voice tinged with remorse. "And I'm sorry for leaving you like that."

Olivia's jaw clenched, memories of the pain and confusion flooding back. "You think an apology is enough, Elliot? After everything we went through?"

Elliot shook his head, his expression pained. "No, Liv, I don't. But I needed to figure things out on my own. I needed to make things right."

"Make things right?" Olivia scoffed, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "You abandoned me, Elliot. You left without a word, without any explanation. Do you have any idea what that did to me?"

"I know, Liv, and I'm truly sorry," Elliot replied, his voice filled with sincerity. "But I'm back now, and I want to make amends. I want to be there for you."

Olivia's gaze softened, but her resolve remained firm. "I appreciate the sentiment, Elliot. But I don't need you to be there for me anymore."

Elliot's brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I mean," Olivia began, her voice steady, "I have someone else now. Someone who stood by me when you didn't. Someone who loves me unconditionally."

Realisation dawned on Elliot's face as he glanced around the room, noticing the wedding band on Olivia's finger for the first time. "You're married?"

Olivia nodded, a small smile playing at her lips. "Yes, I am. To Elena. Elena Carmen Benson".

Elliot took a step back, processing the revelation. "I had no idea, Liv. I'm happy for you."

"Thank you," Olivia replied softly. "But I think it's best if we keep our distance, Elliot. I've moved on, and I'm finally at peace with that."

As Elliot nodded in understanding, Olivia's phone buzzed with a text from Elena, indicating her arrival at the precinct. With a sense of relief, Olivia excused herself, leaving Elliot alone in the interrogation room.

As she made her way to the bullpen, Olivia couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and support she found in Elena. And as she wrapped her arms around her wife, she knew that their bond was unbreakable, a beacon of light guiding her forward into the future.
