SALVATORE HOUSE
Dani walks into her room holding a cup of coffee. Vicki opens her eyes and sits up in their bed
Dani: Wake up sleepyhead. Time for school.
Vicki: What? What are you doing?
Dani: Peace offering. Come on, you need it for blood circulation. Does dead flesh good!
Vicki rolls her eyes
Dani: Okay I'm sorry. The weekend's coming up so how about me and you get out of town? Go somewhere? Make it a romantic getaway. And also I'll adopt the Emma diet. Only nothing with feathers.
Vicki: Now that the secret society of vampires haters is off our back, I can go back to my routine of "How can I destroy Emma's life this week?"
Dani: And I can go back to sulking and Elena-longing and forehead brooding.
She laughs jumping up and down
Dani: This is fun! I like this.
Vicki: And I will finally reveal the ulterior motive to my girlfriend behind my evil and diabolical return to Mystic Falls.
Dani: I'm done. That's just like you, Dani. Always need to have the last word and thank you for being so damn good in bed.
Vicki: Oh get over yourself
Dani: Didn't say that last night, Peaches.
Vicki chuckles rolling her eyes but snakes her arms around her neck and kisses her. Dani smiles placing her hands on her hips.
MYSTIC FALLS HIGH
Meghan is driving her car taking Caroline to school
Caroline: I'm so tired, baby
Meghan: I know, darling. I'm sorry but who's fault is that for being drunky? You'll sleep better tonight
Caroline: Yeah I know I will because you're giving me cuddles cause you snuck out the fucking window. Lame girl move
Meghan: I heard your mom and I didn't want to get you in trouble. She's the sheriff.
Caroline: And now because of your lame girl move, you owe me.
Meghan: You're gonna make me watch the Notebook again, are you?
Caroline: What do you think?
Meghan: You're lucky you're so adorable, Princess.
The blonde leans over the dash connecting their lips. Meghan smiles slipping her tongue into her mouth. Caroline pecks her lips once more then grabs her backpack and gets out of the car.
Elsewhere outside the school, Elena sees Emma sitting at a picnic table and walks over to join her
Emma: Hi.
Elena: You wasn't taking my calls. I was worried.
Emma: Yeah, I got your messages, and I'm sorry I didn't get back to you, but what I wanna say shouldn't be said over the phone.
Elena: A simple "I'm okay so stop worrying" text would have sufficed, Emmy.
Emma: I know and I'm sorry.
Elena: What did you want to tell me?
Emma: I'm gonna back away. Keep my distance. It's the right thing to do
Elena: Back off from school or from me?
Elena stares at her, eyes welling up with tears
Elena: Thank you for telling me.
