Life is indeed full of surprises as they say, but I certainly wasn't expecting this one. At this moment I realized just how loud silence could get. I can hear everything yet nothing at this moment. I looked around once again, for the thousandth time for god's sake.

Please. Just please. I breathed out looking at the entrance door. Once again Mr. Walter's assistant approached me asking me how late my partner is gonna be. But this time, I said nothing to defend him. Everything has gone quiet, except for the beating of my almost broken heart. I look around and try to decipher what everyone's saying, but everything is looking foggy and blurry as if I'm under water.

Drowning. Drowning in my own thoughts,
But those are the pain your memories brought.

He didn't come. He left me. So they were right. My gut feeling was right. He didn't love me, he never did.

Letting out a deep sigh, I fisted my hands. No, I ain't letting this go. Tears flowed out of my eyes. I dashed out of the waiting room closing the door with a loud thud as multiple eyes turned in my direction but I didn't stay. I didn't look back, just like him.

I stopped midway as I heard a voice. I looked there to see a man standing by the pillar perhaps on a phone call, another man with broad shoulders, few centimetres shorter than him signing him something. My feets moved on their own as I slowly approached them, eavesdropping into their conversation.

Sierra it's a bad habit, it is a bad habit. Just step backwards.

The voices in my head warned me as usual. And just like everytime I didn't listen to them.

"What do you mean you can't reach her? No, this is not helping my situation at all Matt and you know it!" He snapped as the guy beside him looked almost terrified.

"Davian, hear me out buddy, this isn't-" The man in golden brown hair spoke out almost stammering.

"This isn't WHAT, Aiden?? Look don't be a knob like Matt. You know how important this is to me right? This is about my dreams, my rights and my hard work Aiden, I ain't letting this go just like this." The man in dark hair stopped as he seemed to be trying to cool down himself.

I frowned, thinking what this could be about? Davian and Aiden, eh?  Interesting.
I was just there standing behind them as I saw the tall guy turn back. I almost froze for a second. His dark eyes eventually met my brown ones. Black wavy hair covering his forehead which had a frown. He had such a straight expression over his face that I was doubting this was the very same man who sounded so mad over the phone call. My eyes drifted downwards as I gulped. The turtle neck and blazer seemed to fit around his body so majestically. He almost felt unreal.

"Excuse me? Are you done staring?" His deep voice reached my ears as I stumbled backwards.

That's why I said it's bad manners, Sierra but you never listen. My inner voice told me as I jerked that thought off my head and cleared my throat as I saw the man behind him, Aiden approaching us and looking curiously at me.
