The next morning, I get up, and my leg is throbbing. I grab the little bottle of morphine and a needle and put it in my leg. I texted Coach Blunder to let her know I couldn't come to practice today. I lay back down because it hurts to stand, so I fall back asleep. I wake up to the doorbell. I walk up, and when I open it, I see Kate.
"Oh hi." I say a little tired and confused.
"Gabbie wanted me to come see if you were good." I nodded my head, I could tell she was tired. She was sweaty, and her eyes had bags underneath them, but she still looked so gorgeous.
"Would you like to come in." She steps inside and looks around. Her eyes come to a picture of us, too. She was holding me by the waist and kissing my cheek.

"What's wrong with your knee." She asks, and my face drops, I knew that was gonna happen.
"Nothing." I turn away and start walking to my room.
"Don't lie to me." Kate quickly follows me to my room.
"Dont walk away from me, olivia." I look back at her and scoff.
"You can't tell me what to do, Kate."
"But I can, though, tell me what's wrong with your knee." She says as she gets even closer to me.
"No, you need to leave now."
She scoffs and gets even closer. Our faces are inches away.
"Don't mess with me, Olivia. we don't want a repeat of junior year, do we?"
I step back from her and roll my eyes. She grabs my chin and steps forward.
"Get out, Kate." She chuckles and steps back.
"This talk isn't over." With that, she walks out, and I collapse on my bed. My phone starts vibrating, and I sew gabbie facetiming me.
"Hey, gabs." I say
"Omg Olivia, I thought you died." I laugh, and we talk for the next few hours before I hang up. I get ready for bed because I'm actually going to practice tomorrow.

I wake up at 7 in the morning and start getting ready for practice. I asked gabbie to come pick me up, but when i went outside, I saw Kate sitting in her car. I take a deep breath before getting in.
"Gabbie was running late, so she asked me to take you." I nod, and I ignore her the entire ride there and the entire practice. I stayed late so I could get some more shots up. About an hour after everyone had left, I turned to see Kate standing by the door.
"Do you need a ride home." She asks
"Not from you." She rolls her eyes and walks out. I really don't wanna walk home, and it's raining, but I don't want to ride with her. Shit, I run after her.
"Wait, yeah, I could use a ride home." She motions for me to get in.
"We're hanging out at cc's tonight, hannah told me to invite you." I nod, and I thought she was done talking.
"You gonna tell me what's wrong with your knee." I exhale loudly
"Just leave it alone, Kate."
"Nah, I'm good."
"Why the fuck do you care anyways, you hate me remember." She pulls up in front of my apartment.
"Don't even start that with me, Olivia."
I turn to her, "But it's true." I get out of her car and get inside my apartment. I get dressed into simple sweatpants and hoodies after taking a shower. I put on my shoes and head to Caitlins.
I get there, and it's only Caitlin, gabbie, and Hannah.

"Hey." I say when I walk in, I look around to see Kate, but she's nowhere to been seen.
After about an hour of us hanging out, Kate comes in a girl, they're laughing, and she is all up on Kate. She doesn't even acknowledge me. Her and the girl go in her room.
"Does she always do that." I ask everyone.
"She usually has girls in and out, but this is the first girl I've seen in like two weeks." Caitlin says. Soon after, the girl leaves, and Kate comes and sits next to me. I try to move, but she grabs my waist and pulls me back down. Everyone else is focused on the  movie and doesn't see us.
