Introduction

I do not own any characters, stories, or locations previously seen in Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. Only new characters such as Raidyn and her friends are my own creation.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The power of the four elements has been part of mankind for thousands of years. Because of this, the world has been divided since the rise of the Avatar. It is the Avatar's duty to keep balance and harmony in the world by mastering all four elements and acting as the bridge between our world and the Spirit World. Nearly three hundred years ago, the Fire Nation began a century-long war that wiped out the Air Nomads. Avatar Aang was the last airbender and finally ended the war and restored balance. He and Fire Lord Zuko founded the Republic of Nations where benders of every element can live together in harmony. 70 years later, Avatar Korra opened the portals to the Spirit World and the Avatar no longer acted as the bridge. Avatar Jin lived a short life and was never able to master all four elements. Times were difficult until Avatar Shinobu brought hope to the world again. Shinobu was a clever Avatar, and he was friends with many world leaders to avoid international conflicts. He helped the world make tremendous technological advances, and really made things easier. But 16 years ago, he passed away, and the next Avatar hasn't been discovered yet. In such a short time, the nations are beginning to become violent once again, each trying to prove their superiority over the rest. My name is Raidyn. I'm an airbender born and raised in Republic City. And while I'm not the most powerful girl in the world, I hope to one day be able to help restore balance and harmony.
