Evelyn was holding me close in her arms. It was still dark outside and the light chirping of birds had me considering what time it could be.
She inhaled against my neck; I could feel the steady rise and fall of her chest. It was all I needed to know that she was awake. Her fingertips were wrapped around my waist as she hugged me against her. My eyes nearly rolled back as her mouth closed around my neck. Her tongue glided across my skin, elevating my heart rate rather quickly. These wet kisses had me sucking in breaths, trying to keep my composure. I could feel her mouth against my shoulder blade as chills rolled down my spine. Her fingertips wrapped around my throat and then I was leaning against her, completely willing.
"Good morning." She whispered against my earlobe. I couldn't help but notice how minty her breath was as I rolled over. Her features were illuminated by the soft glow from the window. The sun was hardly visible but the sky had turned from that rich darkness to a medium blue.
"Morning. Why do I feel like you've been up for a while?" I yawned, slightly thrown by how beautiful she looked. Even this early in the morning, Evelyn was art. Not the kind that was hung in galleries. She was viewed mostly from afar, in brief moments that didn't last. Only, I had her in my arms.
She leaned towards me, her hair spilling over her shoulders. I was intertwining it with my fingertips, tucking it behind her ears while her viridescent eyes enveloped me with the kind of warmth that had to be savored.
"Just an hour or so." She was indifferent but calmer than I'd ever seen her before.
I examined her teeth; they seemed to glow like the rest of her. She was unbothered by my fingers in her mouth, prying her lips apart. It seemed to amuse her because then she was stifling the most attractive laugh I'd ever heard.
"You have perfect teeth."
This grin played against her lips, practically asking for it, "I know."
"You only smile like that at Ben."
She shrugged her shoulders, "I like him."
"And his hugs?"
"I'm getting used to them." Her eyes landed on my mouth and against my better judgment, I could feel them all over me again. She leaned towards me until our foreheads were touching, "I'm fond of you both staying here. Honestly, I wouldn't be upset if this became a thing."
I was smiling, mildly taken aback, "Are you getting soft on me Miss Hawthorne?"
Evelyn was rolling her eyes, although her lips remained curved into that subtle smile, "I am not. I'm still cold and business-oriented."
I squished her cheek, "No. I think you're kind of cute and adorable when you're confessing your feelings."
Evelyn was pushing my hands away, "I am no such thing. All I'm trying to say is that I like the company. Feels domestic."
I wrapped my arms around her neck and pulled her close. She was settling into my body, the shortest of sighs escaped her mouth as her hands settled around my waist.
"Domestic? That sounds like it contradicts your usual cold demeanor." I teased her.
Evelyn was rubbing my lower back, her hands were cool yet soft against my skin, "I'm still cold."
"I'm so cold, I need you to warm me up." Her morning voice was sultry against my ears. She was teasing me with her mouth, ever so slightly grazing her lips against mine.
I let her tease me, her palms pulling me closer until our mouths were moving in sync. I could feel her short exhales against my skin, driving me crazy whilst the weight of her mouth crashed into mine.
