[Third Person POV]

"Lee Minyoung!" Her mother yelled from the kitchen. The girl had her headphones in and couldn't hear a damn thing as she was doing her homework – she still had that boy she just met today in her mind. Na Jaemin.

The thought of him didn't help Minyoung as she was revising for another test that she had next week Monday. She ended up drawing messy love hearts and writing his name in pen.

What a dreamy guy. Minyoung thought, smiling at the sight of his name and the amount of love hearts she put around it.

"Lee Minyoung!" "Huh?!" The girl flipped to another page on her notebook as her mother barged in her room. "I've been calling your name for two minutes now. I need you to come and help me in the kitchen." Her mother said as she walked back out, Minyoung followed her into the kitchen and was instructed what to do.

"Once you're done doing that, I need you to cut the spring onions." "But Ma-" "Don't 'but ma' me. We need to make enough food for the shelter and for us." Her mother said. Minyoung exhaled heavily and got out the spring onions and cut them like she said.

"Ooo~ What's cooking?" Minyoung's dad walked in, still in his suit and dress pants, coming back from work. "We're making food for the shelter, just a couple blocks from us." His wife said, he hummed in response.

"Where's Iseul? I got her favourite ice cream." He said. "She's at a badminton match supporting her friend. Why, do you have some bad news for her?" "Yeah, it turns out, my workplace isn't taking volunteers, especially high schoolers." He frowned and left the plastic bag that had the ice cream carton in on the couch. "Oh no! That's a shame." "It really is." The couple shook their heads and the room stayed silent.

Minyoung couldn't really care less about her sister's situation. The last thing she needed was to feel sympathy for her.

"Well, how are you Minyoung?" Her father asked, smiling at the sight of her helping in the kitchen. "Don't bother Taejun. She's listening to her Ariana Grande music." Her mother shook her head, looking at her daughter as she was grating garlic pieces. "Hey, I'm not! I left my headphones in my bedroom." Minyoung furrowed her brows and looked at her parents, a little offended.

"Hyejin, let her rest a bit. She's been helping you for a while now. And I bet she's been studying for a long time too. Go on sweet pea, go relax or hang out with your friends. You deserve it." Taejun, her father, said as he kissed her forehead, Minyoung was still grating garlic pieces.

"Thanks Dad, after this piece, I'll go relax." She looked in her father's eyes and smiled. Of course she missed him after a long day of school and work. The two love spending time together, but they know how important it is to have some time for yourself.

"That's my girl." He kissed her forehead again and went to his wife, giving her a quick peck on the cheek and going to the bedroom to shower and get changed, and probably watch The Chase along with his wife once she finishes up in the kitchen.

"Any news?" His mother, Minji asked, walking at a fast pace in a cramped area. "Mom, can you calm down? You standing here isn't helping me at all." He shook his head while he was refreshing his emails continuously.

"My baby needs to get into this program. It's your dream, no?" "Yes it is Mom, but don't worry. If I don't get into this program, there's always med school." Oh shit, what am I talking about? He thought, thinking about being a surgeon was tiring itself. But he couldn't think about that right now.

"Oh yes~ My baby Jaemin is going to become a surgeon." Minji smiled and pinched both of his cheeks, he groaned and lightly slapped her mother's hands off of him.
