Prologue

[Third Person POV]

Just a random Wednesday – nothing special happens on this day. He's fully disconnected from reality and his surroundings. The male was enjoying his time by blasting Ariana Grande in his headphones while he was walking the streets of Seoul at night. Ariana's new album 'eternal sunshine' basically describes him and his life.

Currently, he was listening to the intro (end of the world). He looked up at the stars as he listened to the lyrics carefully. The wind brushing against his soft, pale skin. The sides of his lips curved up slightly as he saw a shooting star. I wish to meet my true love. He wished sincerely and looked straight as soon as the song changed.

If you want to know who this male is, it's none other than your romantic – Na Jaemin.

"Dude, I'm telling you. Ariana Grande is better than Taylor Swift!" "Bullshit. Taylor has better songs." "Be for real. All her songs are so depressing and about breakups and shit." "So is Ariana!" "Kill yourself." "No you!" The two siblings bickered. Their mother came into the living room, grumpy and annoyed that the two young females were making such a commotion this late.

"Minyoung, Iseul. I thought we agreed that me and your father wouldn't hear about this Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift battle. Just listen to your music in your headphones. God." Their mother shook their head and went back to the bedroom, continuing to watch the news along with her husband.

The two siblings remained silent and listened to their favourite artists in their headphones.

Minyoung herself is a big fan of Ariana. She could play her songs everyday and never get tired of her voice and music. The girl was listening to the boy is mine from her new album. She couldn't feel more hot and powerful in her life as she was studying for her English test.

"Be for real. I thought our test was next Thursday." "Jaemin, you really need to listen to the teacher and not constantly listen to Ariana Grande." Mark, one of his friends, scolded him for not being prepared. Of course, it was his fault for not studying for the test in the first place but it was also his friend's fault for not reminding him. They all know he's forgetful from time to time. I mean, we all are.

"Yes, and? Say that shit with your chest, and. Be your own fucking best friend. Say that shit with your chest. Keep movin' like 'what's next?' Yes, and?" Two girls sang loudly and out of tune as they skipped to their lockers. The two girls laughed and giggled as they were talking about Ariana Grande's new album.

"No, cause I love supernatural and we can't be friends." "Same! Oh my days, they're just so damn good." Minyoung's friend Haeun said, smiling happily at their similarities.

"Look Jaemin, someone loves Ariana just as much as you." Mark pointed out, looking at the two girls talking about their favourite artist, which also happened to be Jaemin's.

The boy, Jaemin, was interested in the fact that he knew he wasn't the only one who liked Ariana Grande's music and her as a whole. But he was more interested in the girl who was smiling brightly to the point where her deep smile lines were showing. It gave him a sense of comfort – and it reminded him of the song ordinary things.

She's gorgeous. He thought as his mouth was slightly left agape. "Dude, stop staring. We gotta catch up with the rest." Mark said, walking forward without Jaemin who was close to being left behind.

"Oh shit, my bad." He said and quickly caught up with his friend.

"Young." "Hm?" "I think that guy was looking at you." "What guy?" Minyoung asked as she was clueless about what her friend was talking about.

"Do you not know Jaemin?" Haeun asked, and she received an answer by Minyoung shaking her head. "He's the school's romantic." Haeun pointed him out, laughing and talking with his friends.

His bright smile, social nature, body language, how his eyes become like crescents everytime he smiles and laughs, the way his hair falls perfectly in front of his face. Minyoung could see how almost every girl could fall for him. But looks aren't everything to the girl.

"Jaemin." Mark called him over. "What's up?" "That girl you were looking at, was looking at you just now." Mark pointed out, the two boys looked at the two girls who looked like they were having a staring competition.

"Hold on, your sister is friends with her? Do you know her name?" Jaemin asked as he looked away, turning his back around. "Yeah, but I feel like we should ask her what her name is." The older boy said, walking towards his younger sister and her friend.

"No, no, no. What are you doing?!" Jaemin walked quickly. He wanted to stop his friend from making Jaemin an embarrassment.

"Hey Mark." Haeun greeted her older brother coldly. "Hey Minhyung!" Minyoung politely welcomed the older boy.

"Yeah hi um. My friend Jaemin would like to talk to you." Mark said, grabbing his friend tightly by his arms and pushing him in front of Minyoung.

"Woah!" Minyoung exclaimed, almost falling back until Jaemin caught her by the waist.

He helped her up quickly, not wanting to hold her and her friend up.

"Hi." Jaemin said hesitantly. "Hey, what's your name?" Minyoung asked cheerfully.

"Jaemin. Yours?" "I'm Minyoung." "Well it's nice to meet you Minyoung." "Same here Jaemin. I feel like we're going to get along well."

A little change, please read !! (A few months after this book was published)

Okay so, I've been thinking for a few days and I wanna make a little change in the story line, but I don't feel like it would be a drastic change but it's just a heads up.

So we all know that Minyoung and Jaemin like Ariana Grande and rave about her new album but her album was released literally a few months ago and I've kinda stopped listening to her so I'm kinda off track with her songs now. And that's my fault here as an author and I should be keeping in loop in whatever is keeping this book alive or is making the plot interesting. BUT I FEEL LIKE I WILL BE MORE IN LOOP WITH THIS NEW CHANGE.

So... I've been thinking that I should change it from Ariana Grande from the two liking hip hop (but I could still include Ariana Grande here and there). There would be multiple different artists and not just one so I'll be able to change artists and songs here and there and it would be easier for me to keep track.

Also keep in mind, that the pictures I use for Minyoung do not match her actual face claim (of course it wouldn't) so just remember she wears glasses, but from time to time she'll wear contacts.

I'm sorry about this sudden change and I should have kept a hip hop type of concept in the start but it's been a while since I've started writing again and this idea just came to my mind 😭
