Her alarm clock rang, indicating it was 6am. She groaned as she turns it off. Feeling groggy early in the morning as usual. She sat up on the edge of her bed as she stretched. Most definitely not ready for the day.
She stood up and grabbed her towel, walking towards the bathroom to take a quick shower and get ready for the day. She put on some light makeup, put on her uniform
She skipped breakfast. She never really had the appetite for breakfast, she never really felt the need to eat early in the morning. She put on her shoes and left the house. Inching closer to the bus stop.
As she made it to the bus stop, she waited for the bus to arrive whilst her mind drifted off to him. Every thought always end up to him all over and over again.
There was still a long year ahead of her. Park Yeorin, a 16 year old high schooler who lived in Busan, Korea. A young girl that's mentally drained.
As she got on the bus, she could either only focus on her phone or the one guy that always managed to slip inside her thoughts. She decided to just look outside the window to distract her. After some time she got off.
She went to a cafe nearby her school, it was a regular thing by now. The drinks were amazing, the place was comfy, and could set her mind at ease. She sat there, reading books and finishing some essays she hasn't finished.
She would always go to this particular cafe to study every single time. And sometimes inviting her friends for most of the time.
But until they hired a new barista. Seungmin. even his name sounded sweet. She started going there almost every day just to see his pretty face.
walking in and approaching the front counter, there stood seungmin, practicing latte art with a focused expression. his lips in a slight pout. he heard your footsteps and looked up. clearing his throat and trying to act cool, leaning on the counter.
"the usual?" he even remembered her order. Her heart fluttered. or maybe he just had good memory..?
She felt like she had a crush on him. Well.. because she did. Whenever she talked to him she gets so many butterflies in her stomach and her heart just beats so quickly. She couldn't handle how handsome and adorable he was.
The way he leaned on the counter just to take her order and to hear her clearly, she noticed every slight move that made her heart flutter so much.
"Yes. Correct."
He noticed her flustered state. he couldn't help but slip out a chuckle before going ahead and making her coffee. He thought it was funny and cute to see a customer act like this towards him.
he wasn't too busy but he pretended to be, just so she could get a chance to notice him properly. his hair was covering his eyes as he leaned closer to the espresso machine, showing his cute side profile.
She was falling so hard for him. His perfect side profile, his perfect and fluffy hair, the way he's so professional at his job. What more can you ask from him?
She gulped as she watched him, he was so focused. She decided to just take a seat and wait for him but her eyes couldn't leave his perfect and charming visual.
She started daydreaming but then reality hit her hard, she shook her thoughts away. Geez, he's just a barista. There's nothing so special about him. Right..?
She noticed him walking towards her, she instantly cleared her throat and fixed her hair, posture, etc. you know it. She looked over at him with a bright smile while he hands her the cup.
"Here you go, miss."
He acknowledged. He notices her smile and gives her one back. Oh shit. She froze. Her face grew red and she instantly covered her face with her hands for a slight moment.
"t-thank you."
She stuttered a bit. She was suprised at her own actions. Stuttering over a damn barista. As soon as he walked away she sighed and gathered up her thoughts.
"Get it together Yeorin.."
She mumbled. It was sad for her to drink it because it was like a work of art, for her atleast. She grabbed the cup and started drinking, it was just as good as ever. Exactly how she remembers it.
She calmed her thoughts down and continued writing in her book. Writing away as her thoughts kept drifting back to seungmin. He really kept her captivated.
She checked the time on her phone while taking a sip of your latte. She spat out some of her drink and choked. The bell was about to ring and you quickly tidy up and try to gather all her books and papers.
She shoved all her books in her bag in a hurry as she took her drink with her. As she was about to run out the door, she realized she hasn't payed so she stopped and checked her pockets. She ran up to the front counter, putting the money there.
"Keep the change!"
She addressed. The barista looked at her with suprise and so did the cashier. She then ran out the cafe. Hoping she wasn't late for her next class. Ugh.. such a tiring day.
She managed to make it to her locker right when the bell rang. She quickly put away the stuff she didn't need and ran to her next class. Didn't expect she needed to run this crazy just for a class.
